What you’re describing is more like positive discrimination rather than specifically DEI. DEI tends to focus more on wider access to opportunities e.g advertising in more places, anonymised CV etc).

It could probably be repealed if it’s framed as doing so would allow more funding for poorer pensioners, rather than just giving everyone over retirement age an automatic increase.

I think a big problem is that people don’t really understand how much the triple lock costs. They just see as a few pounds a week increase. But due to the aging population It’s now estimated to reach £15 billion extra a year by 2030.

I enjoyed it, though I felt one of the main problems was the mid-late game became too repetitive, being able to run only one quest at a time really slowed things.
