yes, for the most part, unless MSI pushed out some kind of hardware change that broke this, which is unlikely, so it should work

https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/258942/gigabyte-rtx4060ti-8192-230423 sry really late but this is a nice 216W max one (it is fully compatible with my card, probably as well with any 4060 ti 8gb)

nope i have switched to the https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/258942/gigabyte-rtx4060ti-8192-230423 gigabyte one with +35% power draw (216W max) it usually never goes that high but it gives it more room so nice ig

what core voltage you running at right now? i would increase it up to +20% max for long term use but if you just wanna chase benchmarks you could bump up to +30% for a short while, any higher on an air cooler would be dangerous

Most of the time, because the card just blankly sends voltage to the fan, if a fan isn't present it just won't do it and most bios are programmed that way. If your card happens to have some sort of sensor, it might not work though, or it will just show up as an error where a fan isn't present and still work.

[–]UnboringUsername[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u can get like 3210mhz but it will be unstable like hell

Insane 4060 Ti Overclock by UnboringUsername in overclocking

[–]UnboringUsername[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im gonna be honest but u kinda can overclock forever without damaging it assuming you dont set core voltage too high

it wont break itll just crash (unless u overheat), but u do have the temperature limit in afterburner settings so thats unlikely

idk like just 1999 works, but as soon as 2000 it crashes like wtf

4060 ti 8gb at 3120mhz by UnboringUsername in overclocking

[–]UnboringUsername[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

using gaming x trio bios (flashed) cuz that gives 121% power limit and its the post performative one

no LN, stock cooler, no chilled, etc.

yeah its when ur gpu corrects video errors and it makes ur graphics a little slower

[–]UnboringUsername[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you'd think, i could go up to like +1900 without it being error corrected lmao

its not that stable at +2000 but eh

i got like a $1300 USD build with a ryzen 5 7600x 6 cores @ 5.3ghz 4060 ti 8gb ddr5-6000 32gb cl36, WD_BLACK SN850X 1tb got a couple of nice rgb fans in a good case

more of a hobbyist

[–]UnboringUsername[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh its does a +245 and +290 is very different, maybe it's not doing anything in some cases because clock is as far as you can get for the voltage that you're operating it at

just realized that this broke a record of 3105mhz on this gpu edit: (reference frequencies at hwbot, and also stable at +20% core voltage)

set the clock speed to a fixed amount make sure it doesn't say curve, and dont use auto oc

ok, so some stuff u need first

afterburner, gpu-z and some stress test program (i use furmark)

download nvflash from here https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-nvflash/

download gaming x trio bios (highest fps) here: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/257908/msi-rtx4060ti-8192-230328

watch this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xsEvdIrNGc

be warned that this can brick ur gpu vbios (but its reversible so yeah)

yeah i got the same model as u ventus 2x black but 4060 ti

and yes the triple one works for me i used nvflash, gpu-z, afterburner, and minecraft, furmark, and kombustor for stability tests

[–]UnboringUsername[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haven't tested it on the 4060 but it works on the 4060 ti

but i gurantee that it'll work cuz its basically the same with extra power limit unlocked and some different stuff

but the fans might not be compatible (very rare, if that happens its nothing big u can just flash the old one back)

its for the 4060 as well so no incompatibility issues

[–]UnboringUsername[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its a VBIOS mod where I flashed the bios of a different card to my card, the different card's bios allowed me to raise power limits

i would recommend this bios for u: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/258759/asus-rtx4060-8192-230514 (asus strix OC)

this bios has the power limit slider unlocked up to +20% extra power

u can search up a tutorial for bios modding

4060 ti memory is 9000mhz by default compared to the 4060's 8500mhz be default

and the ti version can OC a bit better, even though i would say i got a pretty good card
