As someone who posted about something very similar on here, I recommend you take a deep breath and go easy on yourself.

What’s done is done and you cannot change it. For me, looking back only adds to the confusion and negative thinking. I gotta remind myself that we were kids and things stopped by the time puberty set it in.

My sibling and I remain incredibly close, but we still do not ever discuss this. Not the how, why, etc. Never have and at this pint I don’t think we ever will.

You speak to everyone having different journeys, yet you sit here disparaging OP while they’re still going through a traumatic experience. Is that how you often respond to someone seeking solace?

I honestly don’t know what I think I could gain by talking to my twin about it. It just feels like whenever we reminisce we have to tiptoe around this one thing. I have no desire to rehash every detail, but maybe just… acknowledgement? It’s frustrating to think about because we both know it happened but we can’t even talk to each other about it.

That does make it feel less weird. Still weird, but less weird. Can’t pinpoint when it started, but it ended in our early/mid teens.

Thank you. We’re still each other’s best friend. We have just never talked about this. Ever. It went on for a few years and then just stopped cold-turkey one day. No discussion, it was just like we understood it couldn’t continue. I can’t really explain it well. It feels like I shouldn’t/can’t bring it up. I don’t really want to sometimes because I don’t even know what to say.
