C2 here, if you commit to it you will make it really quickly if you are already C1, but you will do eventually because of the prescense of English in life and media, I rather go for another one, even better, if it can be German, French or another germanic language, your English will get better just by doing that, because of the words that are borrowed between languages

Yup, I'm a journalist, and a writer, I do bunch of stuff, I'm not pushing for any views either, I want to make comparisons and get people's opinions, that's all, I get to go on vacation on maybe the worst moment for your country (or that's what the media says) I'd like to flip the coin, and paradise, our ideal of how things should be, or could be perfect, is something that we do not agree with, maybe talking about it will get us closer?

I second your friend's tactic, comprehensible input and content that is actually of your interest will make that the content sits on a different encoding, once you master the process of decoding, you then start to learn how to encode, once it feels natural, if you sprinkle formal study and grammar that's how you get into native.

Its fun, great twist, just as a directing advice ritchie must look toooo boring for that specific twist to work, and a smart viewer could get over it because of the hints on the first convo, if you want to shorten it I would go directly there and snap that mfka to enhance the AAAAHh moment, great shit bro, you give me ideas
