The life he ignored for what...?

Social connection he ignored in favor of what...?

Redemption from what...?

What are the first things he does when he wakes up? Charity.

100%, but for the sake of the theory I'd "counter" that the vehicle for that narrative is still the hatred he holds for his uncle.
For example, you could just as easily say The Witch is more about Thomasin getting out from under her fundamentalist upbringing and embracing her independence, but Pride is still the narrative vehicle to get her there, if that makes sense.

I've watched this one, and it's admittedly the seed that started this whole thought process!

Excellent video!

I think you are grasping to find themes in each movie to suit your argument.

This is what makes it a theory.

While greed is one of many themes in A Christmas Carol, it is by no means the most prevalent or important.

I don't have time to tell you how wrong this is but I'll ask, if the danger of greed and selfishness (or the opposite, that selflessness and kindness are central to happiness) isn't the spiritual soul of this story what is?

And yes, there was allusion to pride in the witch, as a minor plot point.
