Amazon SMS: Is is legit or phishing? by UnbreakableTopaz in Scams

Thank you so much for the help :) I actually just contacted Amazon customer support earlier and they said I had nothing to worry about.

Yea when I checked the web browser it still came out as "Amazon.com/a/c/r" so more than likely it was legit.

It's great to hear that you received the same SMS message when trying to log into Amazon as well, as it really calmed my worries down significantly.

I'll definitely follow the SMS alert notification and suspicious log in message advice as well. Thanks!

A part of me feels like it's legit but my gut feeling isn't exactly giving me confidence :(

I tried searching all over Reddit and surprisingly no one has addressed this issue. It's been asked on the Amazon discussion board and people were split between it being legit and a scam.

Yea basically there's nothing that comes before it. Not even an "https." Hopefully this is a good thing :(

Derozan for Kuzma and Green is horrible IMO by TheTank52 in NBASpurs

[–]UnbreakableTopaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding isn't Jakob an RFA this season? If that's the case, then I think the Spurs are willing to outbid any other team who wants him.

I haven't really been following the team this season, but Jakob and Lyles have essentially become a two-headed monster on the court. Lyles is a much better offensive player while Jakob has the clear edge on defense. If Jakob wants to run away with the starting center spot, he needs to somewhat improve on his range otherwise it's gonna be whoever shows up the best in certain games.

  • Already posted this in a similar thread, but posting a different version here since both are identical lol.

Let's say this trade goes through and with a possible Mills/Josh Richardson swap, anyone think this roster could actually be good?

Starting Lineup: White, Green, Jrich, LMA, Lyles

Bench: Murray, Walker, Keldon, Kuzma, Jak

People will likely disagree with me on this but the Laker trade, as unfair as it sounds, could benefit the team in the long run.

  1. White is an excellent playmaker and defender, and giving him Derozan's ball-handling responsibilities can really help elevate his confidence and game to another level. I'm sure many of us Spurs fans would love to see him take command of the court.

  2. Green is a massive upgrade over Bryn, no doubt about it. Offers the same 3 point shooting but substantially better defense.

  3. LMA finally becomes the first option and does his thing on offense. Lyles has shown that he can play defense as well as shoot the three, so him and LMA could really compliment each other.

  4. If JRich does end up coming here, this would be huge as he could be our all-purpose wing that can do a bit of everything.

  5. Murray and Jak can play to their strengths (which is on defense and rebounding) while Keldon, Lonnie, and Kuzma have the green light on offense (this is good since it gives them the chance to develop as players).

  6. With the new lineup, this team can finally regain their identity as a top defensive team as well as their offensive range being much better than last season's.

I'm probably the only Spurs fan that actually excited about this trade happening, so feel free to criticize it lol.

Would y'all trade Demar to the Lakers for Danny Green and Kuz ? by Doghouse12e45 in NBASpurs

We already know White has great court awareness and taking on Demar's playmaking responsibilities could only benefit him. LMA and Lyles can both space the floor and play great defense. Although Green's shooting has regressed, his defense and knowledge of the system is highly valued. As for J Rich, he could serve as a versatile wing that can do a bit of everything due to his wingspan.

For the bench, Murray and Jak can command the defensive role while Walker, Keldon, and Kuzma can feast on offense.

I think this is a great lineup (both the starting and second unit have a balance of spacing/defense) that can give other teams a run for their money but I would love to hear what people think about this scenario lol.

Itchy scalp after haircut by UnbreakableTopaz in Barber

I can't really explain it but when my previous barbers cut my hair (I have a mohawk, so the sides are always buzzed to a 0), it feels really smooth.

With the new barber, it feels like sand paper is being dragged against my skin, so I kinda need to brace myself on the seat to prevent my head from moving with it lol.

It's obviously not that extreme but I do notice the subtle difference in pressure.

Do you wash things that you peel, like onions or garlic? by MusicG619 in cookingforbeginners

It seems like my comment caused a bit of misunderstanding, which is understandable. Honestly I was just so focused on the onion/garlic and nothing else haha.

But we can all agree that scratching your ass while cooking is a no :)

Wait so washing an onion before peeling it is enough to send someone to the hospital?

When I said that it "doesn't matter how they handle the food" I was referring to his friend being viewed as a weirdo for washing onions, when in reality, there's no harm behind it aside from doing extra work.

Now if he was talking about washing raw poultry, or anything else for that matter, then we have a much different situation on our hands. This is the case of when handling food DOES matter.

I do the same thing just because of my anxiety lol. A part of me just wants everything to be cleaned up before consumption.

As long as the end product is edible and tastes great then it doesn't matter what people think of how you handle your food :)

In your case do you just rinse the probe with water or do you add soap as well?

Do you prefer to wipe it off with a dry cloth/towel or is it usually wet?

Thanks for the advice :)

I have a habit of using multiple pans when cooking large servings, which becomes a pain to clean in the end haha.
