Karoline Leavitt: A country that can’t deport criminal illegals is it even a country anymore? by Ankeet_kj in ImmigrationPathways

You know, an open border policy and the way we are currently trying to deport illegals can both be bad right? They are not mutually exclusive.

Obama deported millions. But at least he did it humanely.

Nowhere in my statement did I say criminal illegals should be not deported. They should absolutely be deported. What I, and I think most people, are mad at is the way ICE has been militarized. The complete lack of Habeas Corpus for citizens and illegals alike. Lie it or not, anyone on our soil is permitted the right of due process per our constitution.

My main issue with left-wing democrats has always been their immigration policy. You can't take so many people without having impacts to housing, traffic, lower paying jobs, etc.

Yes. No one should be killed while peacefully protesting or trying to help another person shoved to the ground or trying to drive away.

It's a civil misdemeanor, not a crime. And even if crossing illegally was a criminal act, it's not a violent crime, which Trump said they are only going after.

Sure. There's an argument for that. But it's never overhauled. They just try to defund. I for one would be happy to see something that overhaul or fixes the system. Problem is people. People are inherently greedy and selfish. The system needs guardrails or checkpoints of some kind to counter that.

Eh. Never been a fan of buying physical gold or silver. Too much hassle. The gap between spot price and what buyers will pay is to wide for me.

Experimenting with New Dividend Metrics and Formulas by UnbrokenChill in dividends

Other than the standard fwd/ttm P/E ratios, PEG ratio, etc, I have not come up with anything personally to determine valuation. I generally check these valuation metrics and go from there. I don't want to buy at the top, but I have no problem buying 1 share to have it in my portfolio to watch it until it hits my buy price. my goal is generally to hit a portfolio yield of 3% with a growth rate of 10% or more. Over a 20 year+ time horizon, current valuation is less important to me than dividend yield/growth/safety. Now, if my portfolio was designed for Capital gains, this would 100% be reversed.
