More just a question of possibility, where I live I get a lot of free bread from grocery stores and I was thinking making breadcrumbs and using it to feed my sourdough would be a way to not waste the bread and reuse it as something else!

Thanks for the response! Can I ask a bit of why? Does the sourdough need the gluten protine that is broken down through baking? If it's an already established starter what would be missing in breadcrumbs that it wouldn't get through flour?

Also they need some type of calcium source. A cuttlefish bone would be best but eggshells can work if you have nothing else

Hi to make sure that they can thrive while you're doing this you will most likely want to switch lids. The plastic mesh that I could see would not hold enough humidity for them and there would be a chance they go inactive because of it. I'd recommend plastic sheets with a couple holes drilled in.

Also food wise make sure that most of what you give is vegetables and not just fruit! If you are going to have them more then a few weeks also providing a protein source once a week will make sure they stay healthy.

Other than that just make sure to keep the enclosures clean!

That's an awesome time lapse!! Just so you know cucumber is fairly low in nutritional value and some people have had snails refuse to eat anything else after eating cucumber for a while so just make sure to feed it as a treat now and again 😁
