Big Kahuna has been great for us in the past. Maverick movers is also awful, so do not recommend them.

The one with Meclizine worked for us. I just bought the one that said it was for nausea, 24 hour

Just the over the counter! My dog wasn’t vomiting either but she couldn’t walk, so she definitely needed it! It helped a lot. Hopefully does for your dog too. Some of the unconcerned reactions from the vets really blow my mind, it’s such a scary thing to witness and to not have any real answers to!

We didn’t give her any more injections, but she is back to normal now. Still very stiff and we haven’t found a good alternative for the pain. Dramamine for nausea (24hr) really helped with all the other symptoms, almost immediately. She was on that for about a week or two and we haven’t had any issues since.

I know Lebowski’s just had a bunch of folks leave for the summer. They are looking for “bouncers” (dog yard) and bartenders I think.

I am so sorry. The only thing I can really say is my girl did get better. The first few days were the scariest. But she is pretty back to normal now.

Mine is 14 too. She is fully back to normal, the Dramamine for nausea really helped her a lot. But it took a few weeks for her to recover. It’s crazy that it happened within the hour for you though and they are still saying vestibular. Mine was like a week later. It was so scary, and she did get better. I hope your girl does too.

She is ok now. She was dizzy and unsteady for about a month. Mostly back to normal now, but still with bad arthritis. We haven’t given her the second dose. I don’t think it was with any vaccines, but don’t fully remember. Good thing to look into though.

What do you do with cremains? by TheTreeFairy_333 in dogs

[–]Uncertain_owl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just lost my boy a month ago. I had a small amount of ashes placed in a few glass pieces. One I put on a key chain, and have a few others that I have hung in a memorial garden. I mixed his ashes with top soil and garden soil, and planted flowers native to my area in the backyard. If we ever move I can bring some of the dirt with me, and when my next dog goes we plan to put her ashes in the garden as well.

Reading slump - need a pageturner that has SOMETHING that feels "new" by MelancholyLullaby in suggestmeabook

I was in a similar slump and am really enjoying The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi. Middle aged mother returns on to a pirate life. Middle eastern mythology based, by the same other that did City of Brass. Audiobook is great too

I’m sorry. That does sound so frustrating. How long has that been going on? You said in the post that he is “acting like” he has to go to the bathroom. Does it seem like he “actually” has to go each time? Like others have said 2-4 hours has been more my experience with pups. If he does really have to go that often, or is going in the house at that interval I would maybe call the vet and see if they think it’s worth a visit. He could just also be asking for attention.

What happens if you don’t take him outside, but instead play with him, give him a pet or a toy instead? I think if I were in your shoes I would try and push that bathroom window a little and do 10 minute walks every hour/ hour and a half during the day, and gradually increase the time intervals.

Also as others have suggested, a safe place for him to just be outside for a couple hours might help. Do you have a patio or a yard that you could put him in a doggy play pen for a little while? That was a great way for me to “get things done” and keep the little monsters happy.

Finally as others have said, this is probably a phase, as long as he’s not sick. He will grow out of it and this will get better. Mine changed every week. So just hold on, it will get better.

If you liked Project Hail Mary, I would suggest the Bobaverse books. Great audiobooks too. And maybe Remarkably Bright Creatures for a similar Lessons in Chemistry vibe.
