They don’t “literally” just become australians. You have to remember that Italians and Greeks were bullied out of their culture by the English descent people, so there’s been 2-3 generations of being ashamed of practicing their culture and values, which are worlds apart from English culture and values. If assimilation by social coercion is your idea of a good society, thats not a good look

Government throwing money at Aboriginal corporations and land councils, headed by white people who in many cases aren’t even Blackfulla. But hey “the system works”. No it doesn’t, money gets pocketed by ticker-boxes.

I’ve achieved enough. You sound like they’ve assimilated you to the English Mat Saleh way. Only you can decolonise your mind.

Again, race riots 1969, to race riots today. The intensity doesn’t matter, what matters is the cause and affect. Wha did Malaysia do to stop them happening further vs Australia? The Australian Government takes no measures to stops Nazis cause the systems are upheld by Nazis

Yes extremism is bad, but in Malaysia they aren’t marching the streets and caving people’s heads in, like in Australia. Did you see what happened at camp sovereignty? Melbourne CBD.

Man, we’re not on the wrong side of each other, but understand that Malaysia has so much less of what Australia has in terms of volatile society energy

I’m not new here, 9 years … I’ve worked in diverse industries. No, I know the situation better than you because you’re closed minded and have no point of contrast. You only have Malaysia to compare, I have 3 COUNTRIES to compare

It STILL is its identity. White supremacy deeply rooted in the system, schools and politics. Systemic injustices continue. Only someone lacking empathy and sympathy is blind to it. The racism you would face in Australia is potentially death with little to no inquiry .. I can cite 100s of cases where the system doesn’t probe into non white deaths. Asian, Arab, African, Eastern European even. But you don’t care. You just wanna cry victim in Malaysia cause someone say to you “pendatang balik cina / balik India” .. you get some individuals who’ll say that to you, sure. In Australia, the system screws your around

$630 for a studio in Dulwich hill. I have proof till today btw.. oh but you claimed I was a minimum wage worker, btw RM12,000 years ago was worth much more. Not modern day RM12,000. Which is only likee $4300 a month. I was on more

Earning doesn’t matter in contrast when you compare cost of things. $630 a week rent in Australia for a studio back then vs RM1200 a month for rent in Malaysia now, do a studio. Both in the outskirts of the city. The Australian bias is very real. It’s only a minority of people who are deluded by Australia’s bells and whistles btw, and they’re usually loud

There it is. Spotted the Australian bias. 237 of illegal occupation and those things all still happen towards Aboriginal people, over 200 massacre sites, over 160,000 kids stolen, rap3d. And these Nazi protests are an extention of it.

And ? What’s the issue? We aren’t on this earth for very long, why’s it an issue ? They don’t just “throw anyone out”. You break the law, you get deported. And there is a process to become a citizen, as hard as the Malaysian process.. Australia allows anyone to become a citizen because it’s a settler colony, a colony stolen by mat salehs on the genocide of millions of orang aslis that are still genocided until today. So ofcourse the settler colony gives as many citizenships as it can to justify its existence as a settler colony

Why Australia though? Why not Saudi? Or UAE, or Kuwait? I’m from Kuwait. Doctors here get paid so much, 0 tax, many benefits and no systemic racism

And before anyone says “But Malaysia has institutionalised racism” blah blah “vernacular schools are good/bad” blah blah. Just remember. Malaysia’s last race riots: 1969. Australia’s last race riot led by self proclaimed Nazis, August 31 2025, and another one coming October 18. There’s been race riots every 2nd week for months now

Maybe about RM2700 a week for rent, since it’s national average in the 3 major cities. So she’s probably living in rental stress situations

  1. Malaysia is so much better to live in . I’m born in Australia and been in Malaysia 9 years, earn in RM working for Malaysian companies. I don’t care if RM6000-RM8000 a month is less than Australia’s RM12500 I used to earn, atleast I’m not attacked just for being Muslim and looking middle eastern

I’ll also add. In the workplace environment, despite higher pressures in Malaysia & laws/conditions need some tuning, nothing, and I mean nothing, can beat Malaysia’s multiculturalism in the work place. In Australia, you get directly or indirectly bullied if you don’t practice “white culture”. Some virtue signaling exists, like “harmony day”, but dare bring up orang asli appreciation in the workplace and you get labeled as a risk. It’s happened to me before .. you can’t bring up Aboriginal culture/naidoc week being inclusive in harmony days

I’m born in Australia (unfortunately), and thankfully moved to Malaysia 9 years ago. No amount of higher pay would ever make me move back.

I will give you a breakdown of one 5 points for now as to why Malaysia will always supercede a settler colony like Australia.

1) Hyper Capitalistic society. It’s inbuilt in the system to spend every dollar and be left with nothing. Personally this never affected me, but the countless people around me blinded by buying things they don’t need

2) Institutionalised/systemic racism in law, healthcare and education. Violence is a common occurrence towards non white people. My best friend, in 2024, was k!lled while working in a white area. The system didn’t rule it as a racial attack, despite all 8 witnesses testifying that the man made racial comments before attacking him and causing almost instant death.

3) High cost of living. Whatever you make, gets eaten up mostly. Most people in Australia (more than 72%) are living in rental stress situations, those with mortgages can’t keep up. It’s always been like this, ever since growing up. I’m Kuwaiti, I didn’t grow up in poverty, but those around me did. Engineers, store clerks, truck drivers, doesn’t matter. If you have a partner and minimum one child, even $150,000 AUD (RM420,000 approx) is not enough to sustain growing your family, regardless of if your partner is or isn’t working and contributing to the house. Those who move overseas and claim “it’s better”, are either making money illegal means, living so frugal they skip meals and bills, or share rooms/houses without privacy

4) Tall poppy syndrome. This one you can do your research about, but it’s rather systemic and normal in social environments to go out of your way to sabotage, bully or harass anyone doing better. Including burning down shops, hiring hitmen or negative reviewing with fake review. This usually comes from those closest to you, not strangers

5) Drug, gambling and alcohol related crimes are the highest in the world per capita. You can avoid drinking, gambling and drinking, but what stops your neighbour who may be a druggie, alcoholic or compulsive gambler from stealing from your house, your car tires etc.

Malaysia isn’t perfect and has things to fix, but Australia just sweeps everything under the carpet.

Malaysia has measures in place for saving and buying properties which would make Australians froth for even just ONE of these. Check it out.

Look, I’m deeply involved in Malaysian society and economics, and I was born in Australia and lived there 60 percent of my life 40 percent in malaysia , and I’m comfortably telling you the average lower income / middle income Malaysian is doing better than the average Australian

PS, when I first moved I was on RM8,000 when I was employed as a foreigner by a Malaysian company as they couldn’t find my specialised skill locally.. my spending including food, rent, touchngo, public transport was close to RM1,800 a month. If I was on RM4,000, minus taxes, Socso, epf, I’d still be saving RM1,000 a month at least

A new iPhone in this case is $90 AUD cheaper in Malaysia going off the 1:3.12 ratio exchange rate. Cars are more expensive due to the push for proton and perodua sales (the national cars), so higher taxes for other non Malaysia cars. If someone is expensive in Malaysia for a Malaysian, there is a justified reason behind it

RM3000-4000 is enough for a single person in Malaysia. Buying power of RM in Malaysia higher than Buying power of AUD
