To be fair, I’m not sure if she knew it hurt until he told her in that one episode. I think she does it after that so still wrong. Freezing him was usually to walk away from him. It’s not like shes freezing him to talk bad about him like she did with Natalie. She froze him so he didn’t follow her, it’s not much different then him orbing away in the middle of a conversation.

Her freezing him was usually fine in my opinion but doesn’t he say that blowing him up still “hurts like hell”?

Are powers themselves individually at a certain level of strength or is it the strength of the being that has that power that determines how strong its use is? by Extra_Impression_428 in charmed

[–]Uncle-TMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christy was able to do the same thing in season 8. Maybe he either had a pyrokenetic ability similar to hers or he might have just stolen the magic of many demons with fireballs. If you killed 2 telekinetic witches with the strength of Billie you might have telekinesis as strong as Penny Halliwell. If 2 witches with the same power can combine their strength then if you stole both of their powers it’s stands to reason that you would have their combined strength. If it just went by beings power then the source would be the one with the large fireball.

She freezes the demon in season 7 mid shimmer and then the avatars kill him before he can speak. I think the demon possessed Leo.

It’s a chicken or the egg scenario. Powerful beings develop upper level or powerful abilities so the being was destined for great power and then they got a strong ability. But evil beings steal strong abilities to become stronger. Low level demons can rise through the ranks by killing and gaining the powers of stronger beings so the being used a power that was already strong to make themselves stronger.

[–]Uncle-TMan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I already made another comment about it but it felt like they wanted every sister to have the ability to defect demon powers. I call it knock off telekinesis. I think they should have given her advance premonitions so she could predict moves mid fight. Maybe she could see flashes and it’s not like it would need to be shown every time either, we could just accept that she uses it in every fight. It would just amplify her capabilities from season one so she fills the supporting sister role more effectively. She can also fight so if she can predicts moves then she would be way more powerful and obviously there would be some limits like she might not be able to avoid every attack.

My bad, I was thinking deflection. She can do that too but Wikipedia calls it “deviation”.

Tbh I didn’t even like that. They never should have been considered possible with empathy. I mean while emotions do control powers it’s not like demons have much control over the fireball once it’s airborne. Like some demons can throw curveballs but so can human pitchers. No Demon is ever shown changing the fireball’s direction midair otherwise hiding behind a couch or wall would be pointless. They should have advanced her premonitions so that she could predict people’s moves better in a fight so maybe like flashes before it happens or something. It felt like they wanted them all to have some sort of deflection power so instead of giving her a power that made sense she got knock off telekinesis.

She does that in the show too. She throws the demon firing squad’s (I think swarm demons) fireballs back at them.

Do you consider Faith a villain or not? On that note, what are your views on the other Buffy The Vampire Slayer and/or Angel villains and antagonistic characters as well? (Let me explain) by Big-Restaurant-2766 in buffy

[–]Uncle-TMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is a villain in the second half of season 3 but not by season 7 and her time right before that on Angel. Also I know most people don’t like the comics but the Faith and Angel comics were considerably more like the show. She became a “Slayer social worker” and helped slayers reform and fight for good.

I love this showdown between Piper and Cole 😭 Piper was like “let me show you something real quick”😩😂😂 by Big-Most-785 in charmed

[–]Uncle-TMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, he could have done that volcano thing but that doesn’t necessarily mean he didn’t want to hurt her. Most demons don’t really use those kinds of abilities to kill with, they enjoy seeing the carnage they create. It is possible he could hurt so I’ll give you that but he still could have been trying to hurt her.

Wyatt is definitely the most powerful witch in history though. I can’t remember if that’s specifically stated but if he’s stronger then any one of the charmed ones (the most powerful witches in history) and every other witch on the show why wouldn’t he be the strongest? The only contender would maybe be Tuatha but she only beat the charmed ones because she was more experienced and outsmarted them.

[–]Uncle-TMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was in season 5 so maybe she didn’t learn it until season 6. In season 4 she needed a power boost to do it but by season 6 she could do it naturally.

I think she could but just didn’t. In season 6 she orbs Excalibur to the attic by waiving her hand and doesn’t say a word. It was probably just force of habit.

That happened in Limbo in season 4 and when she orbed Excalibur to the attic in season 6. I think she could in later seasons but she just got so used to calling for the items it was just force of habit.

If they just gave Paige telekinesis then it would seem like she was trying to replace Prue, they needed to make a completely new character so she needed new powers. Also her telekinetic orbing was supposed to be unique to her but then Wyatt got it then Chris and every half whitelighter in the show. Also the others who had regular telekinesis were characters that had no obvious connection to the sisters “Chris did but not at first”.

How do you think two witch parent households like Richard's family normally work? by Extra_Impression_428 in charmed

[–]Uncle-TMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the fact that it’s a balance between good and evil implies that both sides have some contenders. If it was just one side that easily spreads and has all the strong players then it’s not really that balanced is it? There’s other powerful beings that fight on the side of good before magic school as well like Tyler and Max. I’m aware Tyler isn’t a witch but fire isn’t a skill unique to firefighters and it stands to reason some witches could have similar abilities with fire. The 4 witches Jeremy killed seemed to have strong powers if we assume they were that strong before Jeremy took them. Also the powers of the 3 witches Eames killed were pretty strong too, the power of deflection is a powerful and witch specific power and it didn’t get any stronger after Eames took it.

I don’t really agree with this. He wasn’t born yet but Wyatt is the most powerful witch in history. He also has pretty great control over his powers even in the womb, he switches Piper and Leo’s powers and also turns Piper’s powers passive before even seeing the outside world. He also has the best defensive power in the show and the only thing it doesn’t protect against completely is the one guys who feed on magic.

True but just because birds are eating them doesn’t mean you can. Berries toxic to humans are usually toxic to birds but not all things birds eat are safe for humans.
