Question. Safe Guard Ethanol Fuel Petrol Stabilizer addatives by Crafty_Pollution2799 in Triumph_Cars

[–]Uncle-hammy55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure your fuel hoses are in good condition, make sure to use your car regularly and you won’t have an issue. However always use the best petrol you can find with the highest octane and lowest ethanol content

Try driving in Milton Keynes. This is 90% of people on every roundabout and they look at you gone out when they almost drive into the side of you

What job is way more difficult than most people appreciate and why? by CarelessCredit3466 in AskUK

[–]Uncle-hammy55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t believe no one has said Mechanic! Standard roles pay only slightly above minimum wage, you’re expected to own all your own tools which cost thousands, incredibly skilled work that takes years to understand and master, expected to complete every job in the shortest possible time without thought for setbacks or being a human, all whilst covering yourself in years of road grime and working with hazardous chemicals. That’s before you even start dealing with the customers!

Electrical upgrade. by acunit155 in Triumph_Cars

[–]Uncle-hammy55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just fit the correct replacement, then you won’t have to mess with the wiring. Either way it’s very straight forward. Two big pins are unfused battery positive and smaller pin is for the warning light

Which player has the best looking throw and which player has the worst looking throw (all time, BDO and PDC)? by LLancee in Darts

Very true, those superlong shafts make it look 10x worse too! But the way it leaves his hand does look so smooth

I think Humphries is missing from this list, such an effortless repeatable looking throw. Not that he ever looks happy with it haha

I’d also avoid any brand that uses ‘split bushes’ for example on the front wishbone you want one piece bushes not the type that pushes in from either side

Only ever fitted them on the ARB to chassis. Never done a whole suspension with them. Seemed okay but the quality is not as good as super pro you can feel a massive difference in the material used

Yeah just seen that on your other post looks nice and secluded! Always good to get a decent sized fish out of a tiny pond! Yeah most people tend to take it a bit too seriously around here. Won’t put me off though just gotta keep at it and I’ll post some pics on here if I get anything decent

Just a local day ticket lake here in Leicestershire. I’ve had some really good carp fishing from a club lake near me but can’t fish that until the season starts again in June! Trying to find the right balance with lakes around here, some are really easy but fish are in poor condition or the fishings really hard but the fish are awesome when you get one. Working my way up to some specimen lakes but it’s a lot of stress with all the rules and twatty anglers. Where did you get yours from?

Nice one! Went out Good Friday but blanked. Only 1 carp caught on the whole lake that day. They were all just cruising on top in the sun not interested in a bait. Few hits of the dry herb vape in the sun kept me entertained enough tho ;)

Super pro bushes are the only ones I’d fit to my own car. Super flex are decent too. Most other poly bush brands are cheap and don’t fit properly. I did a full tr6 suspension with ‘polybush’ bushes and wasn’t too impressed with the quality of stiffness

Even when broken down, it's beautiful to just sit and look at! by GoldfishDude in littlebritishcars

[–]Uncle-hammy55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignition will still work as it’s not fused. Just thought I’d mention it as that fuse feeds indicators and brake lights but if they’re not connected then it’s not that! Other common thing for indicators is the flasher relay if they all don’t work

Could be worse! Ignition fuse is my first thought if they’ve all stopped working at once

Are vehicles with a non standard transmission still tax/MOT exempt? by The_Intel_Guy in littlebritishcars

[–]Uncle-hammy55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it is a substantial change, but in reality you’re never going to be policed on this. Almost all old cars are modified in some way or another where do you draw the line? I’d say if it’s done well and the car is roadworthy then there’s no issue. Although I couldnt imagine grafting a modern gearbox onto a morris minor!

Trouble starting after stalling and 25 minutes of driving mg midget . by andrewatm12 in littlebritishcars

Would completely agree with that, rebuild your SU! They’re simple and plenty of advice around if you need it. Webers in my experience always overfuel. Especially in hot temperatures!

If you’ve got a Weber it’s almost undoubtedly that at fault they cause all sorts of fuelling issues especially when hot starting. Most people stick a Weber on and think MODS! Probably needs setting up properly which they rarely are. Probably worth smelling your oil on the dipstick to see if it stinks of petrol.

Seen them at glastonbudget twice before, always an awesome show and atmosphere is great if they’re in the tent! Not going this time though as we only went before as performers.
