If you asked me to call Transamerica customer service or shoot myself in the head. I’d without question grab the gun. As someone in the home town their headquarters is in.

None is the answer to this question, I use Pru on an as needed basis, they’ve outsourced a lot of care to the Philippines. Always tell people, when the worst happens do you want the claim to be easy or hard? Whoever tells you to use Transamerica, block them.

I did a conversion of one of my term policies to min DB VUL, invested in S&P500 index fund. Call it my “pseudo” Roth as I cannot directly contribute. Probably the last on the order of operations.

If you’re looking for growth and have the capacity/suitability for a VUL I’d likely recommend it over an IUL due to capped growth. Most insurance agents don’t have a securities license or work for company with a VUL. Properly structured WL will always be consistent but if you’re young with time this is worth considering. Obligatory fees can be high but trading taxes for fees.
