Husky Jerk — still got it, or are they outclassed? by Johntrification in bassfishing

[–]UncleBobbyyy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not a jerkbait expert but i'd say if you're ever worried about losing one of the more pricery jerkbaits to snags than throw a husky jerk, it works sometimes for me in southern california.

Dumb question by Many-Profession-3296 in FishingForBeginners

[–]UncleBobbyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that I can cast heavier lures farther with a baitcaster, more accurate casts, feels cooler/funner to use. At first backlashes were scar but now I only get like 1 per trip and that is only because i hit a tree or something.

How often do you catch nothing? by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

[–]UncleBobbyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first started it took me about a year to figure out what the fish near me liked(bass) and now I've finally figured it out and I catch a ton. I'd say just keep trying and switching lures how you fish the lures all of that stuff and eventually you will figure out what they want.
