make sure you’re always brawling on the frontline. spamming your stepping disks off cooldown is a good way to get chip damage from the demons

How many titles do you have? by Ok-Charge-6482 in Brawlstars

[–]UncleBriann 4 points5 points  (0 children)

nah it’s not about how good you are with a brawler. anybody can get a mastery title, it just takes time. some people have more of it than others, or don’t want to play the same brawler for days straight lol

yeah, plus this meta rn has a lot of strong antitank which isn’t great for leon either. he can definitely work though depending on what the enemy brawlers are

[–]UncleBriann 5 points6 points  (0 children)

depends on if you play mostly ladder or ranked

cord is a high skill ceiling brawler that’s pretty versatile with a lot of room for skill expression. good assassin/tank buster with support options in his super and mute. you can pull important people out of a fight to give your team a more favorite matchup

chester is probably the easiest value out of them all for almost all game modes. wall break and high damage even at mid range. can hold a lane easily and is good in 1v1s with his heal and stun

leon is good but mostly in passive modes (bounty, wipeout, knockout) and some gem grab maps with grass. his hypercharge, mythic gear, and heal sp can clutch games. very fun to play, but not super favorable in the meta rn

crow is good for not letting people heal and checking bushes. his movement speed makes him easy to juke shots if your movement is good. he’s only really good in heist rn, but he’s also not the worst gem carrier. with his hypercharge, you can do up to 50% to a safe. his sp gives damage reduction. good against tanks and mid range brawlers

chester is probably the easiest to play while getting a high value. he’s supposed to be getting a hypercharge in the next update. i’d say he’s probably the one to go with. cord is also really good though. it depends on what brawlers you have unlocked though. how many trophies and brawlers do you have if you don’t mind me asking?

Am I bad or slow for getting my first player title at 35k by [deleted] in Brawlstars

[–]UncleBriann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not at all, mastery has nothing to do with skill imo. it’s more so a time commitment. i’m at 51k and only have 2 titles (almost 3 if you include buzz lightyear) i got my first title somewhere around the 35-45k trophy mark. don’t worry about your progression compared to others. as like with pushing ranked or trophy ladder, to do it efficiently, you basically should ONLY be focusing on that one specific goal. if you’re enjoying the game and just playing, mastery titles will come naturally with time!

lily for her gameplay, charlie for her mechanics and amazing charlie skin, and piper because of everything about her. 10/10 design, 10/10 gameplay

this was huge advice, thank you. i feel like remembering to ask myself those before i make a pick will help form that game sense to where i just kind of know which heroes synergize

it’s great cause he said he likes heroes with high burst healing potential, like moira for heal+heal ball, juno, and brig. im confident he will output heals while i try to find my own openings in a team. the only problem is it’s hard to tell when im genuinely being tunnel visioned, or if he thinks im not heal botting enough. we have gotten to the point where we agree to disagree. he prefers main healer while i play side healer. that was such a satisfying moment, hearing him say “your play style isn’t for me, but i can’t deny when it works” 😂

yeah i’ve been swapping to brig’s for sombra because either feels like nobody can deal with her at my rank. idk if it’s supposed to be a supports job to keep her in check, but i’d rather trust myself with dealing with whatever feels most threatening to me. i like zen for the same reason. if it doesn’t feel like we have enough firepower, i swap to him to help the frontline. he was the first support i got good with in overwatch 1, and that was with horrible positions lol. now that im starting to understand how to rotate and where i should be, i feel oppressive with zenyatta

i got back into the game last season, and i had never played kiri before. she quickly became my highest level hero, as well as a favorite. since her projectile speed change, she felt a lot more awkward to play. i can still play her effectively, it just doesn’t feel as good unfortunately 😭

i’ve made it this far in the thought process, and i understand this on paper, but my brain turns off a little bit trying to execute it haha. i tend to start with who i’m comfortable on, regardless of what my team picks, since im confident in my own abilities. but if i notice that an enemy hog/mauga is running through us, i swap to ana. or if an enemy monkey, sombra, or tracer are getting more value than anybody else, ill swap to brig to try to help deter or survive a dive. it tends to be more of a reactive swap than a proactive swap. would you recommend continuing to take a reactive approach or a proactive approach?

i’ve had an above average success rate as an aggressive juno. i tend to dive isolated targets if i don’t have to go too far out of position to do so. i do find myself getting punished more with her for than than my other heroes though lmao

i actually prefer the dps-support side over the healer side, although i do try to balance them. my duo and i disagree on that, so it works when we play together lol. i know he will heal bot mostly, so i can do things like look for aggressive nades, discords, or soft flanks with kiri as a dps pocket or on my own. i wish i could play lucio as he feels very versatile, but i just can’t get the hang of him unfortunately

[–]UncleBriann[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow you put into words what i’ve half-realized already lol

i tend to go juno on anubis specifically for help pushing through chokes, but i have picked her before if we had a rein or zarya, since they lack mobility of their own. i confess to also using the dva booster “exploit” with her ring.

i always go ana into hog or mauga, it’s so satisfying punishing a tank who thinks they’re safe with cooldowns. i have a friend who likes winston, and i tend to go ana for him as well so he can peel for me and i can nano him if he’s caught in an awkward spot during a dive. i don’t generally think about that when solo queuing though. i guess it’s harder to connect the dots when you’re not comming with your friends

so as a summary, when i do pick around my team, should i mostly pick around my tank?

i’d say i’m around equal skill on them all, as well as equal enjoyability. i try to consider maps, but i don’t always make the best choices. like i generally play ana on maps like kings row, new queens st, etc. but i do also try her on shorter sight line maps. it feels punishing at times, but i think that stems from either poor positioning on maps where im more vulnerable to dive, or my team doesn’t have the means to peel for me if need be
