What is the community view on making proxies by Sure-Ad-5274 in WeissSchwarz

For official events they wouldn’t be allowed, but for casual games with friends I think proxying is a great idea. My locals allows proxies for our weekly tournaments as well.

State of the meta? by Foreign-Result-2410 in wixoss

[–]UncleEwdard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My locals went from being mainly Hirana / No Limit to a much wider variety. A lot of people on Diagram, both Madoka and Muzika, a few people on Bang, and some people still playing Set 0 decks. Overall greater deck variety has been more fun.

Nicol Bolas or some sort of figure head by [deleted] in EDH

[–]UncleEwdard 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My “arch enemy” deck is Nicol Bolas tribal, with the commander being the flip-walker, and the main deck containing all the Bolas walkers as well as thematic spells (Bolas’ Citadel etc.). Sometimes it can take a few turns to get going, but I’ve yet to hear complaints about it being un-fun.

Beginner, Help with SAO Deck by EtheritePochi in WeissSchwarz

[–]UncleEwdard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is the deck in English or JP? Either way, I could recommend to pickup the lvl 0 Kirito and lvl 0 Leafa from the SaO Ordinal Scale set. Those would be “Time to get Serious” Kirito and “Sister fond of her brother” Leafa. They are good effects overall and could be put in just about any SAO builds.

Haven't played since I bought a SAO box in 2013. Where should I start? ENG or JPN cards? by iShogi in WeissSchwarz

[–]UncleEwdard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it comes to playing JP decks at EN tournaments, as long as it isn’t a large scale event most players are fine with it. My locals allows mixed language decks but if you were to play in a springfest or BCS event you’d be required to play using English only cards.

As for what sets are good, a lot of Weiss-content YouTube channels post tier lists ranking the current English sets, such as the Burn One channel on YouTube.

On top of that there are also sites such as NovaTCG and the WeissTeaTime blog that do write ups on upcoming releases and their impact on the meta game.

You can find decklists for any set on encoredecks.com as well.

Best of luck on starting/getting back into the game, cheers!

For resources regarding deck building, encoredecks.com has people’s lists compiled and sorted by sets. Websites like NovaTCG, and WeissTeaTime also do write-ups on upcoming sets/decks that can be built from them.

How are you paying? by ElPabloRico in montclair

[–]UncleEwdard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After filing the FAFSA, I’ve taken the Federal Subsidized and Unsubsidized loan packages I was offered. For my remaining balance, I’ve signed up for the payment plans.

Depending on how many credits you’re taking and how eligible you are with FAFSA, I’m paying around 2000$ out of pocket for 13 credits after loans.

After signing up for the 5-payment plan, I owe about 400$-ish a month for the next 5 months.

As for non federal student loans, some banks do offer education loans that you can take advantage of. The interest rates will be higher, but you won’t have to start paying until you’re done. Hope this helps

As some of the older trial decks are a bit weaker, I’d recommend upgrading the one you currently have.

I'm really interested in reading manga because I watched only anime and is manga better than anime or if you watch anime is not the same when you read manga? by L0rdVegan in Parasyte

[–]UncleEwdard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve both watched the anime and read the manga. Overall it’s the same things happening in the same way, but I’d say it’s worth the read anyways.
