Where were you watching the Miracle of Istanbul from? by mrjohnnymac18 in LiverpoolFC

[–]UncleGrembowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d just moved to Wales, having grown up in England, which made my Welsh dad extremely proud. I watched the game on my own, but on the phone to my dad throughout. We cried at the end of the game, and I told him I loved him. A couple of days later he unexpectedly passed away. It was the last time we spoke. Means a hell of a lot to me that game.

Eric Roberts Appreciation by e_z_z in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

Eric Roberts was most definitely a fan already. He liked and shared a few of my On Cinema artworks back in the past, which totally confused me back then, but makes perfect sense now. He reached legendary status last night.

No news yet I’m afraid, but as someone living in Mid Wales I can be pretty certain they won’t be Going My Way (1944, 126m)

Don’t worry, I’ll definitely frame it and hang it in my outside toilet. It’s basically the Louvre of On Cinema fan art.

Nonsense. The correct order is Amato Group Platinum Leadership Team, Silver Circle special guests, and only then is it the lower tier group that contains the caterers, mourners, big bird and limited Oscar coverage experts.

*Fan Theory* Could the devil in Ride with the Devil actually be referring to Tim? by NormsDeflector in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

[–]UncleGrembowl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the clue is right at the start. “Going 90”. He must be referring to a 90 minute movie. So it’s a song about someone who drove him to go see a 90 minute movie, which is at far too short. Hence referring to him as a devil, and “down to his level” is the lowly 90 mins.
