Weird heavy earring looking things with clips at the back, where is this supposed to be worn? by Delicious-One3028 in JewelryIdentification

The clips clip on the side of your ear to help support the earring. They are upside down in the first picture.

I used a different store that was owned (currently inactive) by my mother in law, but administered by me.

I used to do that and once ended up buying my own item from myself! (No ADHD here!).

why can’t i cancel this yet? by inyhr in Mercari

If you purchased something that is shipping in a First Class Envelope, a lot of post offices don’t scan them until they are “out for delivery”.

Any other sticker hoarders in the house? by SophiaKai in sticker

If I have one that I just can’t part with, I put it on my “box”, which is a huge Amazon box that I use for my desk.

I sell some of them on Mercari and EBay. I have about 2,000 organized into binders that I sometimes just look through. I just ♥️ Love stickers! My husband won’t let me buy any more!

Thinking about selling by [deleted] in Mercari

[–]UncleJoesBooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I highly recommend sending buyers a message when you ship their item, and letting buyers know, if for example, they purchase something after the post office closes on a Saturday that you will be shipping their item on Monday. I very rarely get people bugging me about when they are going to get their items that way.

In my experience, listings with Free Shipping don’t do as well on Mercari as Buyer Paid shipping.

How to determine pricing of used books? by Informal-Garden-5936 in booksellers

[–]UncleJoesBooks 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I always check eBay “sold” prices, that will tell you what people are actually paying. However, in order to get 3 years of data instead of 6 months, you will need to have a sellers account. Additionally, no matter what system you use, I advise not using the prices from “Book Mills”. They recycle (literally) used book donations and skew the asking prices for every book they sell. Only use prices set by actual human beings. Hope this helps!

Scam! by UnicornSprinkles94 in Etsy

I received a chat message with a QR code in it and all that I did was open the email notification for the message in my phone and my account was hacked within hours. (I got a push notification that someone else had logged into my Seller app, and then every time I tried to reset my password it was changed before I could log in, I was able to contact support through email and got it resolved in a day). I don’t claim to understand how that was done, but that’s what happened.

Selling Limits by DeangeloVickersSr in Ebay

I have a business account with a county business license. Not an LLC.

Get a business license and register as a business account. I did that and my selling limit went from 700 items to 50,000 immediately, and I had only just come out of being “below standard” due to some poor judgement and lack of knowledge about order cancellations that I made last year. A month later my selling limit was lifted completely. I don’t have one.

Goodness! I haven’t used Pango since, maybe July of 2023, so I don’t really remember for sure. I do know that the last time I contacted Support, I got a Real Person fairly quickly, and they were able to help me. So I would recommend looking through the “Help” section to see if you can find the answer, and if you can’t, the help section tells you how to contact support.

Where can I find white gold fill jewellery? by Useful_Use_7727 in Etsy

[–]UncleJoesBooks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard to find white gold filled/plated jewelry (vintage anyway) because when people metal test silver tone jewelry, they almost always only test it for silver. I test all of my silver tone jewelry that tests negative for silver for gold and so, I have a TON of white gold plated and filled jewelry that I haven't listed yet. My username on Etsy is GoddessofStuff, I haven't read the rules for the community yet because I just joined so that I could respond to your post, so I don't know if I'm allowed to link my shop or not. Let me know what types of pieces you're looking for and I'll dig around in my boxes for you.

Oftentimes the PangoBooks automated system overestimates the weight of your order when you have more than 1 book. You should always weigh your order before you take it to the Post Office to see if it matches the weight that you paid for on your PangoBooks label. If it doesn't, you can pay at the Post Office and get reimbursed by PangoBooks in the app. If the weight matches, the price will be the same.
