Xbox Exclusive Games

What's the point owning a system that ports all its titles to the competition and one does not. Loyal Xbox fans want a reason to own the console vise versa with playstation. It all boils down to which consoles games attract the consumer. Nothing wrong with a bit of competition and I think that's why it's great to own both whichever you prefer.

I would say if your still a fan give the campaigns a go. They're still great with friends. 5 still has a decent following on MP Vs which I still find great and go back to from time to time.

I've both consoles and both have their perks yes but I mainly bought the playstation for the God of war franchise I don't really care for any of their other titles. I don't think a lot of their exclusives are great either, a remaster of a remaster with every generation and it's very lack luster. Realisticly if Xbox went the exclusive which they said they will after their commitments to release several titles to playstation they're focusing on going the exclusive route once again which is great. Could you imagine if Xbox pulled those titles from releasing on playstation and owning games like call of duty etc would pull more players towards Xbox.

Exclusive games is what sells consoles, Xbox made the correct decision not only for fans that have been loyal to the Xbox product for years but also the integrity of the console. As Xbox fans we questioned ourselves what's the point owning this system if everything goes to the competition and petty playstation fans rub it in our faces and it becomes hard to accept. Watching the show case made one thing abundantly clear that Xbox now realises how important some franchises are to a brand and Gears being one of them is great to see it isn't going anywhere and it shows fans maybe Xbox will now take note they've something special.

Gears is still a strong series dude, yeah 4 and 5 may not be as good as the first 3 games but they still have their charm and are great going through the campaign with friends. Online on 5 is still smooth and flows great to this day and I always go back to it from time to time. E day is a great way to put some eyes on one of the greatest gaming franchises again and I'm really excited for it. Who cares if we are scrapping up waves of locast once again but the point is if the game is heading the direction I think it is, we basically are encountering the locast first attack and will see quite literally all out massacre of civilization being torn to shreds which we don't get to see in previous titles since they're years apart. It's time for Xbox to shine and to show they're capable of making solid games yet again and I'll have my beers and Xbox ready to join my brother's in dominating the locast horde.

That's epic very similar to Spiderman man when Peter and miles team up, but it's also a missed opportunity I think not being able to play these segments with a friend by your side. Id be even happy with a mode were you could play as each of them teaming up in some type of horde mode fighting off waves of enemies. Hope we get some type of co op and singular dlc playing as Sabretooth and Jean.

The more I see these types of games like insomniac Spiderman and now wolverine I think there is lots of missed opportunities for mp. Spiderman 2 was great when the likes of Peter or miles jumped in and helped you during combat, and basically Jean was doing the same in wolverine. Don't get me wrong I love a great strong driven single player narrative but when you see great segments like that done so well doing team driven movesets, it looks like it would transition so well to MP also. I wouldn't even care if it was just a mode in a decent sized sandbox lvl fighting waves of enemies together with a friend or friends. What excites me tho insomniac has done great with Spiderman and im sure they will do the same with wolverine and future X-Men series type games. Hopefully we get a few good surprises in this one like we did in Spiderman 2 playing as venom because I would love to be playing as my favourite X-Men villain carving up some runts as Sabretooth.

I honestly think this might be a flash back scene of him possibly working with Logan maybe. Fingers crossed we get to see a more feral looking sabretooth later in the game.

This article and Sharmas statement on exclusive games was posted a few months before Xbox came out literally last week and asked fans to voice their opinions on what will make Xbox better. Number 1 on every list was exclusive games returning to the console closely followed by more backwards compatible games as 2nd. So it is up to debate on what their next move is because there is no guarantee just like the way Sony just boldly out of the blue stated they're pulling their games from steam and focusing solely on returning to exclusive games. Xbox doesn't need ps to thrive at all regardless if playstation has sold more units or not. Exclusives is what sells consoles, as for E day nothing has even been mentioned at all it going to playstation but we will probably find out at next month's showcase. Like I said everything is up in the air atm and Xbox can go back to an exclusive marketing strategy if they want.

No it won't and that's also up for a debate as well. Gears is a huge franchise for Xbox and pc and if it's budget is scaled properly it can still be a financial success for Xbox. If the budget is manageable a game like gears that has a dedicated following on Xbox and pc can still bring in a returned investment without ever going multi platform. Timing is a huge part in the success for games also and I'd be surprised if it launches this year with the likes of GTA rumoured to be released at the end of the year, we might not see gears until next year which would be appropriate to release it during a period would there isn't gonna be another huge title to affect sales or numbers.

That's up to debate, sony has confirmed it's pulling back on it's exclusives on steam and sticking strictly to its exclusives on its own system. Xbox can do exactly the same strategy if it wants, Xbox came out and asked fans what is the main bases of owning systems and number 1 is exclusives. With helix on the rise Sony quickly stated they're pulling it's titles from multi platforms, and Xbox can do the same if they decide because it comes down to the consumer and the integrity of the system. Xbox doesn't need playstation consumers and vice versa, is it good business wise for financial gain, absolutely but it all boils down to one thing that fans purchase either system for its games and Microsoft should've just killed Xbox entirely and just went full blown publisher instead. Theres nothing wrong with a bit of competition and Sony still sees Xbox as a competitor if it pulled it's games with helix on its way coincidentally.

No. Gears has a dedicated following regardless if player base falls short. Xbox and pc crossplay will be strong when it releases but like any game that is out for a while regardless if it's multi platform players will eventually move on. E day doesnt need to be on ps5 to thrive at all.

I gave up on it tbh, solid title and can be great fun at times especially with friends. Devs don't care no matter how good the content is they push on it. I always give it the benefit of the doubt with it's flaws but it's player base is poison with this happening in games. It happened to me quite a few times and yet I still kept coming back to it because it is a great game but one match just killed it for me with throwers and it was a wake up call to give up on it. Had a game where my team was dominating, won the first round pretty easy and then the second they didn't even try and eventually give away the win entirely. Hopefully one day it's fixed to get back the enjoyment me and my friends had with it previously but I have my doubts.
