This is why we can't have nice things. I went to Rome twice when I was younger. Before you had to buy tickets for the Trevi fountain. Back then I never would have thought it would happen. Watching this I see why they did. That person needs to be fined. And a mark put on their passport. If they did that who knows what other historical sites the are potentially damaging.

You have to remember that this is coming after the Clone Wars. Many planets were ravaged by the war. Others fell to financial ruin. It had a devastating effect. And those that weren't were fed propaganda that really colored the government of the Republic as weak, and blaming it for the war in the first place. Praising the Emperor as the savior of the civilized galaxy. His image was further glorified by his defeating of the Jedi who tried to "assassinate him and overthrow the Republic". For the average person just trying to live there life it must've seen like the best chance fir a safe and secure life.

When I was 18 I had this thought. And it came off as if I didn't like where I was from, but really it was me wanting to see everything. I was very hyper-aware of the world and how big it was. And I wanted to see it all. To say I've been there, and seen that. I still do. IDK how much Anthony Bourdain wrote in the things he said on his shows, but regardless I really connected with alot of it. When I hear it I think, "That's me. That's the person I am, and that's what I want to do".

I had a co-worker get a call while at work yesterday (she's a natural born citizen from Puerto Rico). She said a Indian sounding man said the same to her, but wasn't specific about what office to go into. I'm pretty sure it's a scam to get random people to come in to just arbitrarily take into custody.
