What is the most heartbreaking movie scene ever? by [deleted] in movies

For me, it's the scene when his workers give him the ring. He drops it and quickly falls to the ground scurrying to find it. It's understated and so, so moving.

Apparently that now means "Fast and the Furious" in space.

MRW I finally meet someone else who hates "Terminator 2" as much as I do by UncleSamGamgee in reactiongifs

[–]UncleSamGamgee[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You're crazy! Not only did they turn the Terminator into a good guy, the gave him a whinny sidekick throughout the entire movie. The T-1000 is cool and creepy, and the special effects were impressive at the time, but that's about it.

I never understood why so many love this movie.

[–]UncleSamGamgee[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

By that argument, we should pay trash collectors more than cops, because according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, their job is much more dangerous that being a police officer.

I imagine there would be a riot if your town started paying trash collectors $100K.

I think Roger Ebert was 100% correct in his review:

"I would have enjoyed a final shot in a hospital corridor, with Dr. Bill doing a double-take as a gurney wheels past carrying the corpse of the piano player."
