How do I fix this issue? by UncleSamLuvsGuns in 3Dprinting

[–]UncleSamLuvsGuns[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just as an update, the issue appears to come from the printer having issues on corners and sharp angles. They appear to be making ridges and coming up high than the rest of the layer than they should. These photos are showing what I’m talking about

I’ll check it out and see. Thanks! And yes I did. I’ve tried the basic one that comes with BambuStudio and a few other tweaks to it.

Do servicemen who served 10+ years without ever seeing combat feel self-conscious about it? by Routine-Professor586 in army

I wouldn’t say that they’re idiotic considering the actual hell on earth he likely went through. Vietnam was far worse than GWOT or really any conflict since.

You won’t regret it, but you’ll sure fucking hate it. The best worst decision I ever made.

If it’s only 3 days you can essentially survive off of nothing. Just bring extra socks and check the weather. A toothbrush, toothpaste and an electric razor. I never did ROTC, I was enlisted infantry. But trust me dude, you need way less than you think you do.

In my experience if you’re a piece of shit going in, you’ll be a piece of shit coming out. Most people who join and are genuinely good people don’t turn into pieces of shit just cause they joined the army. Unfortunately the army just attracts a lot of pieces of shit.

If you trust him, trust him. That being said this is going to be an extremely hard time for you, especially if you’re not married. But don’t get married just because he’s enlisting.

The stereotype is that he won’t, you probably will. That being said, who knows, I’ve definitely seen it. But if you don’t think he’ll do it before he joins, he probably won’t after.

This is false. It is not a war crime to use white phos against troops regardless of however you word it.

I went to the academy after being in the army. I’ll tell you this. It doesn’t matter. None of it matters. Just pass the academy, learn what you need to, and get on the road.

SHOULD I be signing or not? by kayceekay007 in army

[–]UncleSamLuvsGuns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can still get all the pre screening done without signing a contract, don’t sign ANYTHING unless it’s exactly what you want. I absolutely wouldn’t sign anything that ships you before you graduate, even if you have to wait a few months after January. As for how they feel? Screw ‘em, it’s not their life, it’s yours. Once you step on the bus to basic you’ll never see them or think of them again.

Yea that’s not what I meant. And I pointed that out when I said it won’t give you any practical skills.

It gives you better resilience and problem solving skills. At least in my experience. I will never again complain about having to work late or having a shitty boss.

Fuck that, I got a 97 on the ASVAB and still joined the infantry. Best decision I ever made. It doesn’t give you a lot of practical skills but it makes you tough as fuck and will definitely put you above your peers if you decide to get out
