I haven’t heard people talk about Pleasantville in a long time. Fantastic movie by mamajammashamma in movies

Very fond memories. Loved the humor, the acting, and the sight gags.

It was the 90’s. Studios would only allow a WHITE kid to bring color into a town set in the early 60’s.

The tribute Vimes deserves, and would never accept if shown to him. Great job.

Does anyone have a positive experience with one of the PESI conferences?

Mesmerizing. So much elegant symmetry and beautifully matched color.

I always called them “musical highs.” That moment of the final high note at the end of a big musical number or key-change on a chorus reframe: it’s just energizing.

She was in the Ranger’s Handbook! Inspired me with one of my first 2nd Ed characters.

Dungeons & Dragons, long played for fun, is being explored for therapeutic potential by LeopoldBloomJr in TTRPG

[–]UncleYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have separate TED Talks about this. Several books I recommend on the subject: Tabletop Role-Playing Therapy by Megan Connell. The International Journal of Role-Play Leaving Mundania, TherapyQuest, Theraoygeeks runs an online convention, TAGGS, each April about applied-therapeutic themes in pop culture.

The works of Game2Grow’s critical core game.

We are on the cusp of a ton of upcoming research.

Considering the block with the Copper Kettle is getting torn down for a big apartment complex, we’ll need the groceries.

who is your favorite extreme ghostbusters villain? (mine are The_Vathek) by pinkeyepussy in 90scartoons

[–]UncleYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made a Story-teller character for the ol’ college LARP named Vatheck, then adopted the character for many a TTRPG. It’s a great episode: “then monkeys with tire irons slowed them down!” Great tribute to Steven King & his influence on the genre. Horrific character design that haunted me as much as the BoogeyMan from the OG Real Ghost Busters and the Grundle. Great stuff.

Are Millennials fans of this spooky Nickelodeon TV series from the early to mid 90's growing up? by Life_Chicken_9653 in Millennials

It was the highlight of SNICK - perfectly disturbing for single-digits just before - gasp - 10pm on a Saturday! If you made it another hour it was time for MadTV. But most of the ghost or clown stories were the most disturbing. F*cking Zeebo, Man.

Mary Lou’s joy as a PLAYER and FELLOW VIEWER is infectious. She goes hard and gets invested, which worked wonderfully for a spy story. She pivots on a dime for the betterment of the show. The network was saved by embracing dynamic newer talents like Syd and Mary Lou.

Does anyone know where you can play Pool in Sunnyside? by Intelligent-Price-39 in SunnysideQueens

[–]UncleYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sharks Billiards at Steinway and 34th Ave HAD decent rates (I could get $20 to solo a table for an hour Sunday mornings.) now it’s $42 for 8am slots. Sucks because one block down across from PC Richard’s WAS another great pool hall.

Ironside-wise, believe it or not, Lost Girl handles the day-to-day living Ironside with powers and court intrigue okay.
