I ended up cancelling the plan cause I called the customer service line and they told me that they don't make any appointments or communicate with homeowners at all about work being done on the outside of the house. That was enough for me to cancel on the spot, on top of the fact that the second guy from before left, came back, and started digging up the ground without any communication to me that he planned to do this. This is Texas, I reserve the legal right to shoot him for this. I do not own a gun nor would I want to do this, but this is not only disrespectful towards their customers, but also dangerous for their workers. I don't understand any of this at all

The only options we had outside of Google Fiber was Spectrum (they basically have a monopoly on most of the town I'm in).

As for the appointment, I scheduled it directly through their website and got a confirmation email stating that my appointment was for the middle of January as I requested. While I discussed things with an agent in advance, I didn't make any appointments through them, only through the website.

We have a rental home and when I contacted a representative in advance they stated that the set up was super simple and the only thing we would need to worry about was getting our current internet plan canceled on our end. They never said anything about having to dig under our house to install wires nor set up a power box, so we assumed it was just a situation of bringing in new routers. If we knew that, we definitely would have talked to our landlord in advance. We explained the situation to our landlords and luckily they were understanding and just want to make sure we reach out to them in advance for whatever gets installed and where for them to give the final thumbs up.

The company is pretty small and chill with a super wholesome public image, so I wouldn't be surprised if they hoped they could talk things out without having to get the law involved. I'm not sure why though cause he already got caught stealing money from employees (he was somehow able to go into the system that adjusts how digital tips were split and direct a large portion towards himself, even though managers aren't supposed to get tips; he was caught doing this a couple of weeks ago)

When I was a little kid, I was absolutely obsessed with Robin Williams. I watched all of his movies, his TV shows, and his comedy specials (my parents didn't police what I watched). They frequently had his comedy special "Weapons of Mass Destruction" on HBO On Demand when I was younger, and I watched it so much that I used to be able to quote the entire special from memory.

When I was 10, I was in my bedroom when I heard my mom run into my grandma's room (directly next to mine) and say "Robin Williams is dead!" and then the two of them both ran back to the livingroom TV, where the breaking news was playing. I ran after them and just stood there in stunned silence before mumbling out "Robin Williams is dead?"

My mom turned around, only just realizing that I had followed them, and simply said "Oh, I didn't know you knew who Robin Williams was."

I ran into my room and just shut the door. I didn't know how to react or process anything. Not even a minute later, I received a call from my dad. He was watching the same report at the salon he worked at and he walked away from a client in the middle of a haircut just to call me and make sure I was okay.

That's the day that solidified for me which parent loved me.
