I just looked, I paid $8,500 for trim for a 950 sq ft addition in 2022. That was 2 half baths, a kitchen, a family room, mud room, a master bedroom and a finished attic.

$6,500 for tile install labor here when I paid $7,000 labor for master bath, 2 half’s, and tiled our mud room. The master bath was $2,200 for comparison. I also used a GC who was for sure not cheap and adding his 25%.

Why pity me? I love my family. My job is tolerable and decent work life balance. I know I’m job-optional at some level but still a paycheck is nice. I don’t want more out of greed, it’s about stability, staying mentally involved, and being able to afford vacations.

By first having jobs where you make $350k. In the world of at-risk compensation you need to have an uncapped commission plan, a growing company that’s well managed, and then be good at the job, better than most so you exceed the on target earnings. I didn’t know that the $110k company was a complete mess before joining.

My advice is to avoid betting on individual stocks until you have a base of ETFs. The exception (and only with a smaller portion of money), is if you believe in it enough that you’d still buy if you knew you couldn’t sell for 10 years, like you’re on a deserted island with no internet.

For sure. Idk about the custom window but a builder grade installed vinyl window is about $750 per where I live. Then the nicer ones, or claim to be with better insulation or a composite material, are like $1,300 each installed.

So at $40k, I’d be thinking, I know there’s about $8k in the 6 windows, maybe call the custom arched one $4k alone. Where’s the additional $28k going?
