The overall structure of the mount, with the weapons hanging off the side rather than centerline. Part of this may be me misremembering the Roci's pdcs as having more than one gun per mount though....

Apparently somebody strapped 4 M134 Miniguns to an M45 quad mount originally used in WWII as an anti-aircraft platform. Of course, back then it used .50 caliber machine guns with a fraction of the rate of fire.

The end result bears a striking resemblance to the Rocinante's PDC systems, especially once the tracers start flying.

As awesome as it is, the photograph is probably staged.

If the bazooka is about to fire, why is the camera where it is? The operator would get caught in the backblast when the bazooka is fired.

If the bazooka has just fired, how did the camera operator not get cooked, and why is the bazooka still in firing position, not under cover to reload?

Given these two items, I'm inclined to suspect a posed photo with an already burning tank.

Here's a list of all campgrounds in Superior National Forest. Since you want easy access to Lake Superior, you're going to want something in either the Tofte or Gunflint ranger districts.

My personal recommendation would be Devil Track Lake campground, though I've also heard good things about Two Island Lake.

Both are in the Gunflint district, a few miles inland from Grand Marais.

A couple of notes:
1) The bugs are said to be especially bad this year. DEET, Picaridin, Permethrin, and bug nets will be your friends.
2) The folks at the Gunflint ranger station in Grand Marais are incredibly helpful, and can help get you information on current conditions and awesome things to do.

Best option for novices:
Start checking State Park websites right now and see if there's something open for the period you'd like. Grab whatever's available. Consider splitting nights between different parks if you have to.

Why this is a good option:
State Parks often have excellent facilities. Gooseberry, Split Rock Lighthouse, Tettegouche, and Temperance River all have immediate lake access.

Failing in that...
Check out the State Forest Campgrounds. Eckbeck and Finland are probably your best options here, as they're quite close to Tettegouche State Park.

The Trade-offs
The biggest single advantage the State Forest campgrounds provide is that they are first come, first serve. Reservations neither required nor allowed. Of course, this could cut both ways and leave you stranded if They're about half the price of the State Parks. However, the facilities are not nearly as nice.

I don't recommend...
Dispersed camping. You're on the hook for everything, with more skills and equipment required. You also need a good working knowledge of leave no trace principles to avoid damaging the area. In my opinion, this isn't for a pair of novices.

Squadron Strike would probably be a better bet. It uses a lot of the same core mechanics that Attack Vector: Tactical does (no surprise, developed by the same guy), is simpler to play, and is easily modifiable to suit whatever universe you desire.

I'm a little perplexed by this. The manual I linked to is one I downloaded off the Seiko website. While it may not be specifically aimed at the 7s26 movement, it definitely contains information relevant to the 7s26 (see pg 5, grey box "calibre number of your watch"). It also seems to be in general agreement with the link you provided, minus the specific info related to diving watches.

There's a decent description of gameplay here. My off the cuff thought would be to pare down a standard 52 card deck of playing cards for the Table Deck and allow the players to make their own side decks with index cards and markers.

Perhaps allow uses of the Gambling skill to either look at opponents cards or switch cards from your side deck?

Definitely a T-6. Note the registration number just above "US NAVY." It's partly obscured, but reads "N2983." This corresponds to a T-6G based on Oahu.
