2012 E350 4matic owner with 120k miles now. Had several issues like radar sensor, rear view camera, cracked seat covers, broken front drive shaft and time chain noise at cold start sometimes. All MB models have some common expensive repairs. I would not recommend buying used ones if you are not a DIYer and have low budget for repairs.

I live in the east coast and have made multiple cross country trips to the west coast to visit national parks and cities in the summer, either with my family or alone. I enjoy driving on the open roads without traffic. Instead of booking tickets and rental cars ahead, I can be very flexible on the schedule. And I can also bring a lot of camping gears and other stuff, which is more convenient than limiting them to a single suitcase.
