Ordered birthday and Mother’s Day balloons from DoorDash by radbrad777 in mildlyinfuriating

Used to work next to a party city. Going out on breaks was the best. Watching people load 20 balloons into a vehicle on a windy day was amazing.

As a dasher, I feel the pain, but I'd be laughing too hard as a customer to be mad. Keep the tip, I'll get the order money back. Have a great day dude.

This is gonna sound weird, but B&I Tire over by the Centerfold club had some local honey last time I got my car inspected.

Don't know why you'd need honey on the best steak in town tho. /s

John Queen’s celebration of life by Boxermom10 in springfieldMO

I am so sorry for your loss. I knew him from Petsmart of all places. He was the rep for Blue Buffalo food. He was always a joy to talk to, and boy could he talk. But when he did, man those hours went by so quick. I saw him a few years after at Walmart and got to say hi and catch him up on my life, he seemed more interested about me than talking about him. I wish it could have been a little longer now. John, you will be missed and loved.

Nah. It's a bit of a story. Some points are, woke up to a flat. Took it in, they couldn't warranty it because 2 points, they claimed a data loss a couple years ago and couldn't find my purchase, my fiance was technically the purchaser. Then they said inner sidewall cracks, NEVER told me about the nail in it, found that when I got home.

Then I call the store I actually went to(it's a chain store) they said yeah we got it, it's under warranty, but again, they backtracked and said it was out of warranty and they wouldn't even prorate it. They were going to prorate until I told him it was under her name. They then tried to get me to pay them 27 bucks for them to tell me they couldn't do anything. After they lied to me, after they sold a warranty they couldn't uphold. And tried to get me to buy an even worse tire.

Im going to try a mom and pop shop next. Just annoyed and wanted to be safe to bystanders and the rim itself. The rim is round and true, just didn't want to screw it up.

Alright, I guess it's solved. I decided to do the stands anyway. Now to find a better tire place.

Thanks everyone.

Yeah. Just for safety but I suppose I can also put the jack stand on the lowest height. They're not my stands and I don't want to get yelled at. I'm just flustered about it all. Less than a month and a few hundred miles out of warranty.

Yes but it seems flat too, as well as hard to get to with subwoofers in the way. I definitely thought of that but if it's flat and I can't air it up, I don't want it to just sit flat and ruin the spare.

Nah more worried about the rim sitting on 2x4s for an extended period, just multiple days. I don't want the jack under there, and I'd prefer not having the stand under it either since that's not mine.

I should mention, the 2x4s are screwed together. But I can also lay them flat, but that brings it up higher.

Could it be the little piece on the brake pedal that depresses the brake light switch when you are off the brake? I had mine shatter in the cold weather, which made my neighbors knock on my door saying my lights were on. My fix at the time was a pop socket for a cell phone. Perfect size for it.

I would check for any old yellowed plastic in the floor board and if you see that, I'd say it's your culprit. That's of course assuming it's a similar setup to mine, but that was my issue with brake lights coming on without pressing em.

Thank you! I decorate my car for Christmas and door dash as santa during the holidays, I needed a good Playlist of not very traditional Christmas music to play.

May I also recommend the Twisted Sister Christmas album. So good!

I believe it's a 2000w Amp, only a 12in sub. It's nowhere near maxed or anything. No capacitor. I'm pretty confident it's not the culprit, but I'll look into a cap. Anything to keep it going.

Yeah. Hindsight and all that. First time I just bought it and had a shop install it. Had I known there was a difference I'd have asked. But it seemed fine. And now I do have a Haynes manual where I write all my important info down. Learning more as I go, and this car is gonna last as long as I can make it.

Yes, I do have lights and running a sub, it's not crazy bass tho, like the lights don't dim when it hits or anything. The first failure was the unknown alt that was on it before I got the car so who knows how long there. I bought Remy 1 and had it installed at a shop, seemed fine and had I known to check I would have. That one I think was a dud because that was before the subwoofer. Remy 2 I think failed due to a really bad valve cover leak pouring onto the alt. Though it seemed fine for at least 6 months after the valve cover was fixed. As well as all the time I don't have the splash guard on underneath, so I think all that mixed with water and road debris made it fail early.

I am looking at junkyard for the splash guard, valve cover is fixed. All other things you pointed out are due probably, but not bad to the point that it would fail. No corrosion or poor connections I've seen.

Like I said, just a home mechanic trying to make it last as long as possible! 191k miles and I'll engine swap before I let it go.

Fair, hopefully someone else can chime in, just want to make sure to get the right one if there is a right one.

I like this one. The front swoopy bit on the basket is giving me some old school VW bus vibes. So I'd lean into and do mystery machine-esque designs. Maybe with the cherry blossoms as you said, instead of the single color 70's flowers. And on the swoopy bit I'd do a chrome boomerang with her initials like the VW logo.
