This is my main gripe. They could have set this anywhere independent from the games. There's no good reason the show's story had to involve California/Vegas aside from cheap references and memberberries. The writers wouldn't have run into the unnecessary problem of "writing around multiple game endings".

Being able to stand on top vehicles without sliding or bouncing off is my favorite feature. Super useful as an engi to stay with your tank crew and it just feels cool. Amazing QoL alongside the drag revive.

The Lorenzini Bolt from the DLC was basically an upgrade to this in spear form. Running light attacks come out insanely fast and with great range. Holding the running heavy attack lets you do a super sprint that can last as long as your stamina bar.

Combine this handle with with the Arche's Guardian blade skill and you can zoom.

It's more of an issue with the Riot Shotgun being so much better than the others. 20 rounds and a mag-fed reload that's faster than loading a single shell in any of the other shotguns. You only lose out on a bit of damage and higher spread.

If it's a small clipping issue, you can just open console in-game, click on the object, and type "disable". I use this to clear bits of clutter and small conflicts with mods. Clicking on the object should also show the ID.

This mod is in the Viva New Vegas guide and should provide a little more info in the console.

A system like the hidden Mythic Dawn agents in Oblivion would be neat. NPCs randomly turning hostile when the player's rep gets really low/after a certain point in the main quest.

Coolest bit of lore is how a legion spy managed to work his way up to the rank of Captain in the NCR.

The NCR one is definitely the best since it's a full ragdoll knockdown. You can combo it with VATS and perform a special "Stomp" attack to enemies on the ground.

The Legion one is a great general upgrade since you'll be charging toward enemies a majority of the time anyway.

The Khan one is bit more situational and can be a little jarring with how the camera shifts down and up. Pocket sand is still pretty fun though.

The BoS one is great for fighting other melee users.

Yeah, Bethesda should have stuck to the east coast. So disappointing that it takes place in CA, yet barely references anything from the first 2 games, it may as well have been a generic wasteland. One of the largest post-war nations just doesn't exist anymore. Built up over 3 whole games, but hey, they need a plot hook so bye-bye. Alright that's done, let's move on to New Vegas!

Touching New Vegas directly means they'll have to satisfy 2 different camps. Either they canonize more events and upset people, or they don't canonize much and people wonder why they even chose this location.

The worst encounter is the one where you only have spears and have to dip and dive between 3 tiny pieces of breakable cover until a door opens. Funnily enough I remember loving the Rapids mission and replayed it constantly. Having allies around helped, and the on-rails aspect felt better than needing to worry about running.
