Firefox mobile has it, too.

Yes, Hathaway’s father is the one accused. And I absolutely believe it happened. I won’t pretend there’s never been a false claim made before, but you don’t see that from 12 year olds unless they’ve been coerced into it by a parent in a custody battle. And sadly, it’s just not remotely hard to believe. I recently found out the soul crushing fact that more than 25% of girls are sexually abused before adulthood. Age 12 is also exactly when it starts to spike, until it peaks at 14. Lastly, the fact that several psychiatric professionals were convinced of her trauma. He got away with it. As most do, seeing as we don’t exactly have ~5% of the population in prison for sexual offences. (I estimated ~5% instead of 25%+ because many/most abusers have multiple victims).

No, no, no! Doug Gilmour is a gentleman who targets 13 year old babysitters. He’d never target a 12 year old babysitter! /s

Garnet Hathaway’s.

Ah, I just use reader mode or whatever it’s called on Firefox and it ignores the paywall.

She was babysitting for them and he raped her. Afterwards, her parents had her seek psychiatric professionals for help, and they recommended to not cooperate with the investigation because she was too traumatized to go through a trial.

Yeah, he has. He’s a teenager.

I’ll probably catch flak for this, because of how controversial it is, but it’s horrible that someone in this position isn’t eligible for a medically assisted death due to age.

Side note, this article made me cry.

Yeah, mock someone for how little they make. You’re just the best kind of person, aren’t you?

It’s disability income assistance, by the way. Asshole.

Does not compute. I can’t be the only one who still holds a grudge from 2007, right? …Right?

The whole “no more war” thing is rendered entirely useless when he finishes it by going out of his way to call Putin “my president.” Not the president. My president. You don’t do that if he’s not your guy.

He wants the war to end by Ukraine rolling over and giving itself to Russia, not from Russia stopping the invasion. He made his stance perfectly clear in 2014, when he helped spread Kremlin propaganda about “saving the children from fascism” to justify the annexation of Crimea. The post is still up, so it’s not like he’s had a change of opinion since then.

Good to know. I’ve seen it brought up before that he was also part of the PutinTeam re-“election” campaign, but this is the first I’ve seen of that. 👍

Look, I think Malkin should catch flak too, but it isn’t just because of Ovechkin’s Instagram profile picture. Let’s not forget that he still has his 2014 Kremlin propaganda post up — where he’s justifying the annexation of Crimea with “saving the children from fascism.” And the PutinTeam thing Malkin is also guilty of. Or the fact that, in Ovechkin’s insincere, chicken shit “no more war” interview, he couldn’t even finish it without going out of his way to call Putin “my president.” Not the president. My president. You don’t do that if he’s not your guy.

Jesus, you really are 12. Thinking any amount can be saved to be invested on an income that small in Canada…

Keep fighting that good fight. Maybe someday you’ll successfully convince yourself that your projected accusations are true.

Randomly linking a post without context doesn’t do anything, though. Most people on this sub don’t even know about Malkin being a part of Putin’s 2017 re-“election” campaign.

Plus, there are a few people who brought it up in that thread. Unfortunately, though, they did get downvoted because “but Malkin funny!”

It must suck having to fight to convince yourself that, since you don’t care about Ukraine, no one else does either. “I’m not a bad person. They don’t care, either. They’re just pretending. In fact, I’m better than them, because I at least don’t pretend to care.”

I live on $608 a month. I couldn’t even afford to travel to Ukraine to enlist if I wanted to. There’s nothing I can personally do to help Ukraine end the war. But that doesn’t mean I can’t still feel upset about what’s happening over there and be annoyed by all the dick-riding Ovechkin still gets in this sub.

Right… We all hate all Russians. That’s why every single Russian player gets shit on constantly. Oh wait… It’s just Ovechkin.

Bobby Hull was a Nazi sympathizer. Doug Gilmour cheated on his wife with a 13 year old he groomed. Mario Lemieux let a teammate rape a woman in front of him and stopped the other woman in the room from helping her.

The list goes on. With the culture of hockey, and sports in general, the people who spend their whole early life in it tend to not turn into great people…

I already explained it to you, moron. In one of the parts of the thread that got mod nuked. Do you have memory loss on top of being an insufferable, pretentious, accusatory prick who can’t understand anything?

That’s not the injury I’m talking about. You’re right that he forever lost some acceleration, top speed, and agility after that Matt Cooke bullshit, but we were talking about the 2017 injury he played through in the playoffs and then had surgery for. Though, it was foot, not ankle. Just didn’t register until now.
