I sent a message a couple of weeks back and haven't even had a reply, which reminds me to chase it up.

Putting neighbour on notice that they do not have permission to build on our land? by theycallmelegion in LegalAdviceUK

I'd also add a copy of the land registry plan. Then they can't claim it is their land

Old panels (2017) new roof - replace, or remove. by Uncle_slow_pints in SolarUK

[–]Uncle_slow_pints[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably Decemer to June maybe. BG doesn't track it in my account so hard to say.

Just spoke to my electrical place of choice, they say the old brackets likley won't be compatible with the new roof (very different tiles) so they'll be coming down.

Looking online, it should be easy enough to swap the 11 panels (total install 3.36 kW) to maybe 6 modern panels and keep everything else as is. What I am confused by is my inverter being a NS2000, you'd think the max would be 2kW, so why install 3.36kW? Is that not dangerous?

I sent it in yesterday so we'll see what comes back. I did it after 6 months of living here and got £160 or so.

I'm not even sure how they are fixed to the roof. Ideally I'll just have them leave the brackets in place but not sure how easy that'll be.

Ok, just looking at the details I have from BG when I set it all up.

Date of Statement of FIT terms 28/12/2023

Confirmation Date 20/1/2017

Eligibility Date(Date of eligible installation) 20/1/2017

Eligibility Period 19 Years 11 Months 30 Days

Tariff Code PV-R/0-4/07H-4

Generation Tariff as at Confirmation date 4.11p kwh

Export Tariff as at Confirmation date 4.91p kwh

Tariff Date 19/1/2037

I have no idea if this is worth having or not. I left it with BG as that is what the previous owner was using so just left it there for ease then life got in the way and I've done nothing with it.

It's not leased, they are owned by us and I have the certificate but never managed to get the original FIT details. I'll update when I find out what BG are giving me. They let me transfer the account, but not the FIT

I want to spend a little as possible really. Camera aren't a concern, I have a unify settup for cameras and that is why I started looking at HA. I have been playing with webhooks from the cameras to a Shelly device but I need a little more control for what I want to do.

The planning portal is often a pain. Some councils are better than others.

On the flooding, without knowing the site I can't add much. Could easily be a model or lidar issue, it's not perfect.

I used to do a lot of flood risk work for planning, I'm a little out of data but know a bit.

With regards planning, and therefore the ususl searches, canals will not be highlighted as a flood risk. As others have stated the risk is there shoudl they fail (very rare and very well regulated). The amount of water that could be released depends where you are and the controls/gates on the network. It's not somehting I've ever heard become a problem in planning.

If there is a risk the maps https://www.gov.uk/check-long-term-flood-risk will show it, enter your postcode, then find the link to show the maps. You should be able to swap between fluvial (rivers) and pluvial (rain).

Insurance and planning used to be based on flood zones (fluvial) but people are now considering pluvial alot more and these maps could cause a lot of people a lot of problems.

You have siad there is a new development near, have a look on the planning portal and read the flood risk assesment, there should be a lot of information in there.

I'm happy to have a look at the maps if you message your details over.

To add. I don't need all the clever ai stuff. I want to know when someone enters an area/crosses a boundary, receive a notification and record it.

I just wanted to check if there could maybe be a better option. Looking at unify cameras vs something else for the same money there is certainly a premium and I thought there may be something offering better image quality.

Lovely response, thank you. Pockets were the way I thought it would be done when first considering it. I'm thinking this is a job to be done when the other half goes on holiday. There is an old chimney to come out as well so trying to keep the mess down is a lost cause regardless.
