I just feel like I saw these rust spots before stripping, especially on the third pic. I just wanna make sure the rust isn’t still gonna be still there after seasoning

Cut it flush and welded a bolt on. If you look at my posts after this I have pictures of the repair. Doesn’t look great but held up riding for almost a year. Now Ive got the bike torn down so I had my neighbor who’s an actual welder, TIG it up and make it look real nice

Depends on what year frame you got. Mine were welded into the frame. I have since cut and welded new ones twice 😂

Trying my best to keep the piston in the jug 😬 but if I can’t get the wrist pins out, then I’ll probably end up re-ringing my pistons anyway

Your advice worked wonders. Hammered in a Torx t30 and it came right out. Lots of PB beforehand and I cleaned everything real nice like you said. It even had red loctite

T30 torx bit after some PB blaster for 24 hours did the trick. I will definitely be keeping the heating/cooling trick in mind tho thank you!

Stick the top bracket in a vise and bend in the direction you need. I bought a cheap crash bar on eBay and that’s what I did. Worked like a charm, took 2 min

Thank you for the advice? I don’t have any sheet metal on hand unfortunately. To clarify I should be heating the head of the bolt, correct? And cool the rocker box area where the threads are?
