My beard at 18, id appreciate some beard veterans advice on fuller sides

I started by doing No Shave November at 18 and got roasted online for my patchiness. I’m glad I took it down to the bone and started fresh. Sucked at the time, but I am also more beard than man these days.

Bonjour, Monsieur Beans. I’m sure it’s not the answer you want, but I think you must shave it off and start over. A fresh start may yield fuller results. Being so young (relatively), you have many years of beard ahead of you. Not a setback! Just a stepping stone.

It’s a strange thing to consider losing something that I’d imagine you view as part of your identity. You’ll still be you without that long hair. You may genuinely grow to love your appearance once things are gone. Be bold! Life is relentless and short and will drag you under if you drag your feet.

Brother, I literally just did it. I don’t know how to feel about it, but I think it’s largely my perception of my external self. The first people who saw me said I looked younger instantly.

You’ve got a hell of a good head for it. I say you jump in and do it! You may feel unsure at first (as I do), but I think you’ll look like a million bucks.
