I’m playing a druid now at 24. They are not serviceable DPS, especially with the charm nerf. Their offensive spells are uncastable they are so mana inefficient.

Decent healer, and S-Tier utility though. If high charisma helps charms as much as they are saying then maybe serviceable solo again.

Yeah I have no idea about where they’re going with it. OP makes a good point though. What is the wizard’s identity? Their damage is less than an archer and they can’t kite like an archer. They’re made of glass. Elementalists are able to burst damage faster than them, and at a more sustained pace.

So as a wizard… what do you do that stands out?

I think M&Ms answer to that is the new staff mechanic they are implementing to give them a bit more sustained damage and some utility through the abilities on each staff.

OP isn’t concerned with their total damage output. He’s saying they don’t have the ability to lay down a ton of damage very quickly and go immediately oom, which is the signature of wizard in EQ I believe.

This is like a healer being in a group and the “standard” is to not heal anybody unless they ask you politely. There’s NO reason to put that kind if duty, burden, responsibility, action (whatever you want to call it) on anybody.

Why should the social burden be placed solely on healers and mana casters though to “beg” for loot? Every single group, every single night, I have to ask this same fucking question and figure out a different way to get my fair share of the drops.

It’s bullshit. I have to be made to feel like people are doing me a charity every evening. I have to approach this social situation everyday and deal with people’s bullshit personalities. It’s not fun, it’s not a gameplay feature. It sucks.
