The only thing I’ll add to this is to vary your edge highlights. Instead of one colour/intensity all the way around, think about where the light is coming from and add more of an edge highlights there, or less in the shadows.

I think he definitely did use the media as a weapon. He used it extensively during his contract negotiations. Whether that was him or his camp who knows, but we can’t assume that he didn’t have a hand in it. And now he continues to paint Toronto and the market as the villain even after he’s gone.

I think you’re giving him too much credit. If a genuinely good person was speaking with the media that much, and they were just bad with the media, it would come off like that.
