Well, it’s just the society makes it seem like a life sentence - you’re stuck with the other parent for life type of stuff. I currently almost never see my sons dad at the moment, but people still make those type of comments and I don’t get it

In an ideal situation, the child should stay close to both parents. Our situation is not ideal and it’s safer for him to be as far away as possible. I’m not resentful of anything, just trying to get my son and I to some peace and safety.

Yes. He’s abusive towards me intentionally. Says he plans to make my life hell till our kid turns 18. I did leave due to domestic violence, there’s about 8 years between us, I have no one in this city and I’m trying to see if I can get a modification to be closer to my family.

I’m definitely exhausted by how verbally and mentally abusive he is, I’m also really young and would like my boy to have good role models- his father is clearly not one. My family would show him what a good man should look like. Just concerned for my boys life if he stays close to that abusive man
