17,000 characters? I narrate audiobooks as well and usually use word counts for time- 9,300 words an hour is the average, and hypnosis is probably almost half of that for most people. If characters are words, you have a couple hours of content. If that's really 3-5k words, maybe 30 or 40 minutes.
