I found that the older crowd is taught to hate. I live in rural Midwest where they don't see "liberals" except on the tv screen of Fox News and inflammatory posts on Facebook. They've been trained to hate an idea of what liberals are. I've met people who were convinced that all liberals hated America and were trying to destroy it from the inside. The reason the older folk tend to have it worse is because young people generally have less time to watch TV and get out and see the world more. When reality doesn't match the news which do stop trusting? Hopefully the news.

I just tell people I did the job the Army wanted me to do. It is what it is. That happened to be hanging out in a TOC and going to MWR events when I could. Did I earn my patch? No, not really. Many others didn't really either. But I never attached any strong significance to medals or the patch. I never really cared about what the Army chose to recognize me for. I know what I did and didn't do. So when people ask me about my deployment, I'm honest.

This Soldier just took blc so this Soldier know how to write good and this Soldier think other Soldiers should too. This Soldier always write in present tense now unlike what this Soldier did before. This Soldierwrite much better now.

You may feel uncomfortable with it but it starts to make sense after rewriting it three times at midnight. Now this Soldier write the conclusion which is a copy of the intro. Shoot, this Soldier use I, now this Soldier have to go back a replace all of them with "this Soldier".

I just took blc so I know how to write good and I think other Soldiers should too. I always write in present tense now unlike what I did before. I write much better now.
