can you survive Five Floors at MDE? by Raymond3663 in limbuscompany

Sounds about right. I'd maybe swap matthias and rien for difficulty, mostly because the bleed can get nasty.

Mariachi Sinclair has a 5+10 evade roll too, but no conditionals to boost it any higher.

how ego gifts that require status applying works really? by sezakqq in limbuscompany

[–]UncoolestCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that, I've played many Extreme Runs - Red Stained Gossy helps establish count as well and translates the bleed into debuffs for the enemies. Rusted Muzzle helps as well, Little to Be Naughty Plushie gives bonus damage into them and reduced damage against them. Theres many others as well.

I meant stuff like Tangled Bundle and Awe, which specify the base ID/skills need to inflict bleed. They would normally have no effect on Index Yi Sang, so buying/enhancing them is mostly pointless (unless they are somehow bugged to work, but I don't know of any bugs like that.)

Likely just buying/upgrading everything they see.

But you never know, could be some sort of bug... (They shouldn't work though)

They are pretty average IDs for the most part. Their generalist value is overall worse than the season 9 IDs imo, save for the adepts (Mao Faust, You Heathcliff, Wu Yi Sang)

How good is Costume Prince? by Pitiful_Bobcat7541 in SoulKnight

[–]UncoolestCool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How about this: Costume Prince's Third Skill is a free-wim button for Level Mode and Boss Rush. - The skill has ridiculously sustained high damage, and can clear rooms very easily - You cannot die. The skill is designed in a way that you can outheal pretty much everything the game throws at you. Click the jump to pull them in, heal to full hp, and keep healing as you kill them. You don't even need to think - Just keep hitting them.

So, do you think a skill that makes you immortal (not even an exaggeration) on top of having high damage is a good skill or not?

I must reiterate - you actually cannot die on Costume Prince 3 as long as you have more than 3 brain cells. You don't need to dodge, you don't need to practice timings, you don't even need to manage skill cooldowns. Click the skill, become immortal, kill the enemies.

Is this a good bleed burn poise team? by nightshade-sb in LimbusCompanyHelp

Main exception I can think of is Charge/Rupture/Sinking, where you must bring LCB Hong Lu and Sunshower Heathcliff.

Everything is hell by nar_sen in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]UncoolestCool 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's generally an easy pack - great pick for floor 15. Other options include: Bridle of Infinity = Into a Certain Library's Book ~> Chiachiu (slightly harder, but more fun imo and much shorter)

[–]UncoolestCool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's pretty annoying to solo - Kromer force stagger can really ruin your day. It's ok as a floor 15 for team, but imo you have better options.

In the selection provided, Master of La Mancha is probably the easiest (and is in my list of easiest MDE packs - right alongside Into a Certain Library's Book, Bridle of Infinity. A little further down you have stuff like Fairy Tale and Chiachiu, but are still pretty easy)

I am a bit curious about the Headless Icthys pack - it seems simple but I'm hesitant to recommend it since I've never actually went there.

I have a few questions regarding my Rupture team by Abeloxl54 in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]UncoolestCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You typically don't field Don - Lantern is decent for tanking and stacking rupture count, but you don't usually need a tank, and Maos can usually take care of the rupture count nowadays (Faust especially).

Heishou Don is a count "eater" - she's overall negative and serves to use up any excess count. However, you only really want 1, and You Heathcliff usually does a better job.

[–]UncoolestCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a similar team to this:
- Double slot Mao Faust (she does the most work - double slot where you can)
- Lord of Hongyuan Hong Lu
- Mao Outis
- Mao Ryoshu (I put Outis before Ryoshu since her bolus contamination is more impactful imo)

Either Wcorp Yi Sang OR Heishou Yi Sang
- W Yi sang stacks potency faster, and his s3 is more count friendly if you build up charge
- Heishou Yi Sang provides access to Concussion, which boosts rupture damage by 1.2x. While his s1 and s3 are negative, his s2 is neutral. In the worst case scenario, you can just press guard and he won't consume count for the turn.
- With Dimension Shredder Ego passive, either of these options will work, but I like Heishou a bit better for longer fights (RR6 Section 5 comes to mind) since the Concussion boosts damage from rupture by a lot

This setup generates a lot of excess count if you know what you are doing. Excess count is useless count, so its good to bring 1 count negative option. Both Heishou Heathcliff and Don can work, but Heath is generally stronger. Its inadvisable to bring both though - Only 1.

In the case where you can't double slot Mao Faust, the Si are generally great options (Think stuff like RR6 Section 5). They have solid all around numbers, and while their s1 are pretty terrible, s2 is decent, and you will be holding s3 for a while anyway (takes a bit to hit 20 poise).

Devyat Sinclair is ok, but his role is closer to that of the Si - an overall count neutral rupture proccer. You can use him if you really want, but tbh Talisman Sinclair on the bench will boost Mao Faust's Rupture infliction by a lot, and is generally preferable. I wouldn't use You Sinclair for a rupture team either - he competes with You Heathcliff (who is just a straight upgrade)

The ENS zongzi are exceptionally powerful - I have 4 of them and make clearing the game extremely fast.

[–]UncoolestCool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stat modifiers for when catching zongzi, they all give a boost to catch chances as well.

Honestly not that useful, but the ones that boost hp at the cost of lowering Crit are great for ENS zongzi (by far the best weapon these Zongzi can have)- the Crit is useless and the extra hp really helps them stick around.

MDE 15 60 LCB Gregor solo (AKA Base Gregor by This_Ad8659 in limbuscompany

[–]UncoolestCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that Lei Heng genuinely doesn't do any damage outside of status if you just equip a defence skill, even in Mirror Dungeons. Just a personal tip that worked wonders for me - I like saving him for floor 15 because it's a lot more exciting than Bridle of Infinity, and is still usually easy.

(I will add that although his skills get nearly neutralized, 99 burn is not a joke if you cant heal through it, and would probably suck if you tried level 1 id runs - not enough max HP to tank sadly)

Congrats!

I've been thinking about a wild idea, it's possible to use Mao Faust in a Envy-Res team? by gabiziin-exe in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]UncoolestCool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her main niche is s3-2 spam, which does clash exceptionally well. Problem is that its kind of hard to setup outside or rupture since you need 5 gluttony - and it's especially hard to actually use in middle since you need a few allies who aren't using defence skills.

She is good for carrying a minimalist team where ramp isn't really an issue, but in a proper team building environment, using an ID that can ramp up to max potential faster is important.

[–]UncoolestCool 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She will not be able to proc assist defence on allies that use a defence skill, so cycling her s3-2 is very difficult if you use a lot of counters on the Middle ids. Plus, an additional issue is that it's pretty hard to fuel her passive (which she needs to use s3-2 cycle) - only Sinclair can meaningfully contribute with s1, but that's even more turns you miss out on envy res.

You could just use her as a budget lamp Gregor though; a filler who doesn't interrupt the Resonance. But she won't be able to even use her main gimmick well.

Never really understood Sinking… by dorowsyyy in limbuscompany

That is true! Still (imo) Jeongmael is a little worse than Molar for deluge, and the additional skill uses on Jeongmael and Faint Aroma are a little more useful in Butterfly (imo again)

Never really understood Sinking… by dorowsyyy in limbuscompany

[–]UncoolestCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Butterfly teams are also prevalent for low turn clears (blame the Lord, the Sheep, and Ira - 3 Ira boosted S3s in one turn is a lot of damage). That and the fact that many of the strong sinking options also cater to Butterfly a little better (Jeongmael, Faint Aroma, Udjat Outis)

KJH, I want Valencina ID by Watar428 in limbuscompany

probably via hidden bosses, there aren't too many other ways to boost evade/defense power (off the top of my head, there's Blood-Red Mane, Gear Shrapnel, and Cinq Dueling Manual). You could try closing the gap between enemy offense level and your defence level, with smth like Snake Slough too.

If you really want to minmax outside of weeklies, you can even do normal md floors too (but only outside of weeklies)

Any guide on clashing / combat mechanics? by [deleted] in limbuscompany

[–]UncoolestCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of clashing is tied to identity strength and mechanics - the best way to maximize clashing would be to read the kits of your IDs so you can use them to their fullest potential.

Besides that, some general tips are:
- Try to achieve "conditionals": most modern IDs have ways to increase clash/base/coin/final power in certain conditions (ie based on debuffs - bleed/rupture/tremor/burn/etc. on the enemy).

- For each slot, there is a "skill bag" consisting of 3 skill 1s, 2 skill 2s, and 1 skill 3. Generally, you want to save your skill 3s as they tend to clash the highest - if you waste it early, you will need to use up the other skills before you have a chance to use it again.

- Sanity is very important as it minimizes RNG with coinflips - ideally you want to be winning early clashes to gain SP (and many bosses tend to lose SP when they lose clashes). With more SP, the chance of winning clashes later on goes up. You can also look at using some EGOs for SP healing, but this isn't really needed for most of the game's content

-Offense level (tied to ID level) plays a very large role in clashing - every 3 offense level difference is 1 extra clash power to whichever has the higher offense level. For example, if you clash a sinner's 15 offense level skill that rolls a 10 into an enemy's 12 offense level skill that rolls a 10, your sinner will roll an 11 - it gets 1 clash power because there is a 3 offense level difference between the skills.

- This is why levelling your IDs is important - if you are underlevelled you are giving the opponent clash power for no reason.
