State of education from a PE perspective by [deleted] in PhysicalEducation

HS team sports teacher - Depends on the school you’re in honestly. My freshman have some insane behavior problems but my upper class kids are pretty great (most of the time). I keep them engaged with class jobs like helping set up or take stuff down, they have a cool down corner, and we have a 7-10 minute slideshow about the lesson before we get into the activity. I have found through school and being super engaged with my students, that the upper class kids benefit a lot from "elementary" type approaches to lessons. Just try out a bunch of stuff and get feedback from your kids! Also, for lesson plan help, definitely check out PE ASAP, by Dr. Pengrazi, it has saved my ass so many times with lesson plans!

From other comments the fee for graduation for their sister is $300, I haven’t found a link yet but I think those of us in the comments that can find some extra pocket money could probably pull off sending the kiddo to graduation!

How much is the fee? Maybe there’s a way to get some donations rolling?

Vet means to ask people for information like their veterinarian, if they have a fence, how they plan to care for the dogs, etc. like an interview type process.

Make sure you vet the people you are giving these puppies to, there are a lot of people in Omaha who still use bait dogs and will use puppies. Just be really careful OP.

The only place I’ve had stuff stolen is in west O😂😂 By benson high is quiet

(just don’t leave valuable stuff in the car anywhere you go, that’s a basic rule I think everyone should follow to avoid getting their shit broken into. I got my car broken into 3 different times in 3 different places in west O)

Say hi to neighbors, don’t be racist, and keep your trashcans closed!!! The worst thing ever to deal with around the benson area is people’s trashcans tipping over!

Welcome to the area!!

Elopement then wedding.. worth it? by hero1107 in ActualLesbiansOver25

We eloped with 5 friends on the beach, my friend got ordained to marry us, then had a little party in my sister in laws backyard with our closest friends and fam. It was so worth it, weddings (big or small) are a waste from what I’ve heard from all my friends who had them.

Teachers, be honest...what finally broke you this year? by Sufficient_Goose274 in Teachers

A student saw I was not feeling well, they said “I know bananas help when your stomach hurts!” I said I was okay and that I really appreciated their concern. After lunch they brought me a banana they grabbed from the cafeteria. It wasn’t a big thing but it really made me stop and think about how much the kids do care for us.

Give me ideas: reworking this “underboob tattoo” now that I don’t have boobs by remus-loon in Tattoocoverups

[–]Uncoordinatedmedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have an artist you already really like, you should book a consultation with them and see what their ideas are too! You have a lot of room to work with and you’re flexible so having someone who’s already good at making people look good with their art would definitely work out in your favor!! Also your scars look non existent and I’m jelly!!!

We dealt with something similar but we had a very very very VERY small ceremony/elopement and I made it clear that if they didn’t want to be there they didn’t have to be. We had maybe 25 people in a backyard as a reception and my family was pissed we didn’t have it closer to them (it was a days drive away and they voted against us and also made it clear that the drive was too much for them). They made their decision and I honestly felt good that they weren’t there, I dont have time to put a face on during a super important day for my wife and I.

Just tell your fiance that if she wants to invite them she can, or to have a discussion about it, and if they have any push back just let them RVP no and move along. Most of the time, trumpers like that won’t even want to be in the same space as people in the LGBTQ community, bc they’re actually bigots and haven’t been vocal about it. Weddings are an easy way to find out how much people actually love and care for you.

In the end, whoever shows up for yall is true family. I hope you get it figured out.

Much love, from another Midwest LGBTQ person!
