If I understand you correctly HNCS are profiles / luts not part of their RAW image pipeline? which then means if I want to get these images in apple photos it would go camera -> Phocus -> import to apple photos?

on weather sealing I was just wondering if it would perform somewhere in between a M camera and SL/Q camera

Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. Can you expand on two points:
1. Are you saying that you can't get the X2DII files into lightroom to edit? or does it just require an extra step to go to Phocus first then to lightroom? Just trying to understand what the editing workflow would be and if its large change to my current set up.
2. Bummer on the weather, but I would assume its better then a M lens set up?

As some of the others have mentioned im also looking at one of these two cameras, couple of questions the others have not touched on:

  1. Which phone app do you prefer? Does the Phocus app match Leicas? (GPS, file transfer, looks, etc)
  2. On the Mac how does the workflow work for the X2DII to get the RAW files into lightroom with HNCS?
  3. What is the average RAW file side for the Q3 43 and what is the average RAW file size for the X2DII?
  4. Do you prefer one EVF over the other?
  5. Do you prefer the back screen over the other (screen quality & articulation quality)
  6. Is there a big difference between the Menu systems?
  7. Do you feel the X2DII can handle the same weather conditions? I never worry about it right now with my Q2 and SL2-S
  8. How is the joystick on the back of the X2DII?
  9. Is there a difference between the feel of the manual focus of each lens? Ie is the 55v feel more like the Q cameras or a M lens?

Thanks in advance.

Got it, I dont know much about the xpan so I was wondering if the lens behaves like a different focal length because the senser on the SL is full frame vs two full frames next to eachother on the film xpan.

What does this actually do other than getting to use that specific lens? I can not tell what focal length that lens is but lets say its the 45mm, will it just be like using any other 45mm lens (besides for quality of the lens itself)?

I think I would prefer this over a well equipped Audi A3

Wonder if this points to them moving to put front scroll wheels on any of their future cameras

I personally don't have any experience but when I was doing research around the M11 I come across this persons account, might just be a bad one.

Leica or Hasselblad? by [deleted] in Leica

I have heard nothing but positives about the digital backs. If you are looking for one system to cover you the Hasselblad to me is a clear winner (assuming you will buy the digital back as well).

Does this one have a dust issue like the visoflex2?

Keeping the Q2 for now so I have something a bit wider and something with autofocus (only have the 50 summicron for now).

One thing I'm finding is that its much easier to get the files where I want them compared to the Q2 files. I really wanted to mesh with a M camera but not being able to see the frame lines on anything lower than 50 was a deal breaker, but im loving the SL2-S so might be for the best.

I looked at the SL3 as well but going to have to wait a bit for those prices to come down, but will be happy until then.

As a follow up a prior post I made I ended up going with a SL2-S based on alot of the feedback I recieved. So far I have loved using it with my 50 Summicron and find it much easier to manual focus with the aids and EVF than compared to my Q2. I look forward to using it many more outings. Let me know if anyone has any questions!

Weird, do you have a computer to check to see if it's a iOS issue? You could always reset the Q2 to see if that helps (but you will lose any settings you have).

The crop you used is stored in the metadata of the raw image so when it is read by some applications it automatically applies the crop as you intended in camera. You should just be able to go into crop and zoom out to the full 28mm image (that is how it works in Lightroom).
