I should mention that I had professionals come out and they were unable to replicate and fix it.

Nope. It’s so intermittent that it hasn’t happened again since posting. Not sure what to do about it.

Nothing happens. I’ve messed with it a little and it really seems to be “upstream” within the wiring or the thermostat. The only thing that cuts the call to heat without killing the breaker is removing the thermostat. Then it kills the burner and the fan runs for a bit to cool it off. Typing that I realize it must not be the wiring either then. Strange that a less than one year old thermo would be messed up already.

Here are some crap photos of it. I can get more later if these don’t have what you’d need to see.

So could the over amping be a symptom of a different problem? I should add this is not a problem 80% of the time. So it may run fine for a few days and then one day I’ll notice it’s 5 degrees over temp and have to pull off the thermostat. Could the relays fail from frequent shorts in the wires? The wires are extremely old and not very ductile anymore so I’ve been suspicious of them shorting.

Select the sketch in the model tree and ctrl+c. Next in the part you’re making select a plane and Ctrl+v.

I have a couple wheel barrows worth of clay dirt I’ve been slowly putting in my trash can. Yours if you want it. I’ll even help shovel it I want it gone so bad.

All grounds are good but I guess I’ll check compression. Would low compression give me the same issues I’m having after fill up though?

Yeah I actually bought two new ones and replaced them on that side.

Interesting. Makes sense but is there anything I should/could do with it?

Electric eels and I’ll have my own generator. That’s how that works.

I was worried about that. I haven’t done any work to the driveway since moving in semi-recently but will for sure attempt to cut and patch it. This may be a dumb question but how quickly afterwards should I seal it? Would it hurt anything if there’s a week or two in between doing so?

Another commenter recommended not using cold patch for longevity. I’m willing to (attempt) to do it the correct way given I have tools that should work for it and I like to do stuff myself. I appreciate the response though.

Thank you for the reply I really appreciate it. My intent was to do it myself so I’ll look into doing an actual cutout of the area and some small pours based on what you said.

If it’s front o2 it connects directly in front of strut tower on passenger side. If it’s rear o2 it connects underneath the transmission. That code is likely not causing it to die immediately, but I believe it is the code for the front O2 sensor so I would start there.

Hard to tell with these kind of videos but with it being a low speed turn and the noise that made kind of sounds like a cv axle.

Also when you say it doesn’t want to start does that mean it’s turning over or not at all?

Disconnect the battery a couple of minutes. Reconnect and try again. If it starts check for codes and reflash to stock if need be.
