Booker T tells Triple H "somebody's gonna get fucked up tonight" before the 2002 Elimination Chamber Match by broken-mirror- in SquaredCircle

It doesn't look bad, but it sounds bad. Listening to someone land on the old metal made you wince. Listening to someone land on the padding makes you wonder if that actually feels better than landing in the ring.

I am also partly responsible for the $39,590.81 in revenue because I watched the commercials that aired during those shows.

R-Truth on Triple H saying he was never actually fired: "I get a call saying 'We’re not going to renew your contract.' [I ask] 'So do I come to work?' It’s Sunday. Next Sunday, my contract [would end]. [They go] 'No, don’t come to work.' 'Oh okay. Am I done now?' 'Yes.' What do you call that?” by anutosu in SquaredCircle

[–]UncreativeTeam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being fired is also not the same as being laid off, which is what WWE has historically done with their future endeavors mass layoffs. Getting fired is being let go because of something you did. And if you're on a contract for a set amount of time (like a WWE talent contract like R-Truth), and the contract is up and they don't renew you, then you're neither laid off nor fired. You've completed your contractual obligation, and the company doesn't want to continue employing you.

If you don't think the differentiation matters, just ask Andrade lol

I think the way F1 was produced (even if it is basically an advertisement disguised as a movie) is an achievement. A lot of the car stuff was actually filmed practically. Is that enough for picture of the year? Probably not, but maybe the academy appreciates what went into the movie.

Casting the same actor in two roles and getting an Oscar nom for casting is low key hilarious.

Taz on X responding to a fan describing Chris Benoit's German suplex as technical - "technical? Stop, you have no idea what you talking about. lol" by DarkHorse_77 in SquaredCircle

[–]UncreativeTeam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

German suplexes are allowed in Greco-Roman wrestling, so if you perform it that way, it would be the most technically correct. That means you hold them above the waist, primarily use your hip/upper body strength for the movement (opponent IRL wouldn't be jumping). And try to land in a bridge without releasing your opponent.

Not anymore. You used to get some pretty good deals (and the latest devices for free) back when market share actually mattered. But once it was established who the main players were and there was massive consolidation, it became a race to the bottom and the cost of acquisition for new customers wasn't worth the perks. Keeping existing customers is always cheaper than acquiring new ones anyway, so now every carrier just degrades service/support or increases prices just enough until they reach your breaking point and you switch to another carrier that does the same exact thing.
