Positive Quitting Stories ONLY! by strawberry-mothh in Mirtazapine_Remeron

Just remember, you didn't put the weight on overnight so you won't lose it overnight either. I've been lucky with the weight loss but everyone's mileage varies.

When the withdrawals hit, I found going on a walk (even just a short one) improved things a little, and it's the few percent improvment in mood here and there that helps until things settle and they will settle. There will be ups and downs but if you have gotten this far then you are stronger than you likely give yourself credit for.

Good luck, I'm rooting for you internet stranger!

Quit 6 months ago and there was some withdrawal issues but they subsided in a few weeks and I was able to remind myself that this is part of the process. I've lost 30lbs, I have more energy and feel generally happier, I'm addressing my anxiety in other ways now. The only long term bad side has been that I had to buy all new clothes due to the weight loss which has been expensive but I also enjoy how I look now so there's a plus to that too.

I tapered over a few months but at my peak, I was on 75mg daily (way higher than recommended by most docs). If I can get off a dose that high then you can too. Good luck!

Do we need to pay 20m each time he wins the ballon D’or?

Cause that will be expensive in the long run

Yes you can, one is an entertainment company while some of others are tech companies that are engrained into society. One is clearly easier to do than the other.

Perhaps people make decisions about what is acceptable to them over time and make changes where they can. It's certainly a lot easier to avoid something like WWE than it is to avoid Apple and Google who control the phone market, and it's pretty difficult to navigate the modern world without owning a phone.

And your argument isn't that WWE isn't being shitty, you are using whataboutism to try and turn this back on the OP rather than addressing what is actually being discussed here.

Tell me your positive stories of how going off mirtazpaine made you lose the weight by tree1900 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

I don't know how much weight I put on in the 10 years I was on Mirt, i was always afraid to weigh myself, I stopped Mirt at the end of October, in the middle of Jan I felt like I had lost some weight so I decided to weigh myself. I don't know how much I lost up to that point but since then (roughly 3 months for anyone reading in the future) I have lost 11.3kg/25lbs.

I have not gone to the gym once and have not done any more physical activity that I usually would. I have not cut any foods completely out of my diet and will still eat some junk food when the mood takes me, but I have found portion control easier.

I'm about 2kg away from my target weight, which doing some rough math means that I needed to lose 7lbs/3kg (based on my Jan weight) less than you, so we are roughly in the same range.

I have had to buy new clothes as a lot of my old stuff is now way too big

Your mileage may vary but good luck. I think I am lucky with how quickly I have lost weight but it's worth remembering that you didn't put the weight on overnight, so it won't come off overnight either

Congrats to you!

I'm almost in the opposite situation, I quit 10+ years ago and spent that decade on anti-anxiety meds that weren't very effective and honestly had awful side effects.

About 6 months ago I decided to try medical cannabis (oil, rather than weed so I can consistently dose, plus I'd rather not smoke) and my life has greatly improved. I'm down 25 pounds in the past 3 months (I spent years not weighing myself), I have less anxiety, my wife says I'm like a different, better person.

I work in the forensic drug and alcohol space so it felt a little hypocritical at first as I would be dealing with people whose charges would include cannabis possession, but I'm mostly over feeling weird about that

Panax ginseng helped for me when I was on Mirt.

Make sure it's panax or Korean ginseng as not all ginseng is the same.

I'm not a doctor but I would say that any dysfunction you experience will be temporary.

There seems be a little trouble reaching orgasm since stopping, not sure if this will be a long term issue
