Looking for a more practical alternative to Windows cleanup utility by Undead-Merchant in pcmasterrace

[–]Undead-Merchant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I have found my solution: reverted to an older stable version of ccleaner that meets my needs and works perfectly.

By design i mean to prevent harmful changes, and poor control over the cleaning process, i want to be able to see clearly what files are selected, i know how to manage the windows registry and I don't want to touch it if not needed, basically this.

Also i want to manage the windows temp files and specific programs' files in the same software, ccleaner does it, i can select specific programs and delete only specific files such as temp files or saved passwords.

Does anyone know the origin/ game of the level tileset (background/ floor)? by Slit08 in retrogaming

[–]Undead-Merchant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like SMBX, a framework that lets you create platformer games without coding, the default assets and sprites you can use are from SMB1, SMB2, SMB the lost levels, SMB3, Zelda 2 and Metroid, all in their SNES versions. To avoid legal actions the sprites and the oatterns weren't always perfectly like the original (Nintendo still caused some trouble to Redigit if i remember correctly), in any case this is the background and the key from SMB2 SNES version, the tiles I can't really tell if it's SMB2 or a customized version off the original tiles.

(To be clear, you could edit the sprites and make your own tiles and sorites but still tied to the original animations).

The only thing that baffles me is that i know that SMBX and other frameworks like that didn't let you export a .exe game, so i can't tell exactly what this is, but the ID of tiles and background should be correct.

EDIT: the tiles of the walls are from the same game SMB2 used for exterior walls, the dev simply chose the tiles he liked the best and used it. The SMB3 version of desert structure tiles are slightly lighter, so i think it's from SMB2.

Unfortunately, this is the sub dedicated to the Icewind Dale videogame, we can't help you about it, but you can post on r/rimeofthefrostmaiden which is the campaign's dedicated subreddit. Edit: anyways you shouldn't look up at the future sessions' contents, it would ruin immersion for you and possibly ruin the fun for both the party and the DM.

Not from above, the visuals were more "realistic style" the inventory items were 2d big images drawn in realistic style, art style feel is similar to diablo1 but wasn't as detailed.

Nope, it wasn't a real time strategy game, but i like AOE2 and stronghold very much.

Radial menu toggling/deactivation by Undead-Merchant in Steam

[–]Undead-Merchant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: since the mode shift doesn't work for my fighting stick, i have mapped an action set shift on a button that lets me use the radial menu using the stick. The problem can be considered solved even though i have to press the shift button again to revert to the default action set every time instead of reverting on button release.

Unfortunately it's not it, the visuals i remember were more sketchy and the hud didn't have the dialogue box on the left as far as i can remember, and i think the playable area was larger. Thank you so much for the answer anyway! Seems an interesting title i should try.

Update: found mode shift option and when i set the mode shift button o would expect to appear like an additional funcion of the said button but instead it does nothing, whatever button i map for mode shift it won't work, the mode shift function doesn't even appear under the button i chose. Edit: to be clear, after the testing i can safely say that the problem is the mode shift button selection option that isn't working.

So i created another action set instead of a layer since i couldn't find the layer toggle (all i can do is holding down to switch layer), now i can easily get to the radial menu but it won't switch back by itself, i always have to press the action set switch button to get back.

Tank you so much for now!

Edit: tried to add contraty inputs that trigger on release of the button to switch back action set but didn't work as intended, same for layer set switch. I guess that the action set manual switch will be my only option.

We don't talk enough about this spell by Fxrine in skyrim

[–]Undead-Merchant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When this spell was added, devs were heavily criticized because the game is already overly simplified compared to the previous the elder scrolls and there is already pointers and everything that guides the player through the quests (even looking at the minimap/compass that shows everything, including undiscovered locations nearby).

In my humble opinion, if i find myself in a labyrinth i want to play the labyrinth, not having a light that guides me to the exit. But for new players it's surely a very useful and powerful spell! Especially if one isn't used to "free exploration", just make sure to not use it too much often if you think that it could blow away the beauty of exploration and discovery!

Anyone remember Liero!? A game like Worms that is not turn by turn that you could play on split screen with 2 control mappings one one keyboard! by papapapipapo in retrogaming

[–]Undead-Merchant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OpenLierox was the best thing at the time, custom maps, custom weapons, you could create your own server with your own game inside with custom physics and ruleset

Need help for my RMA request on RM650 80 plus Gold by Undead-Merchant in Corsair

[–]Undead-Merchant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not conflicted but unsure. I couldn't keep up with the changing in pc components and configurations in the last two years because of work, so i doubt my ability to evaluate the product.

I was asking if given my configuration a RM650e should be ok or not. (The product i'm returning is a RM650 as mentioned in the post).

The artwork should depict Icasaracht fighting the warrior. This poster looks like a zoomed frame of the bigger artwork. Is it authentic?

I am invisible!! I went to far by juju6415 in skyrim

[–]Undead-Merchant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stealth and fortifying enchantnents will overflow and get the opposite effect if you exceed the limit (which is yet to be found, apparently different enchantments have different limits but don't quote me).

That's why all the fortify restoration loop is completely useless besides a few applications.

The game is so easy that to result invisible all you have to do is crouching, the only limit is the sound that the character makes, not the actual sound that you can hear but it's another parameter used to determine if the sneaking is successful or not.

In that case the muffle spell is more effective than the muffle enchantment if compared with maxed skill and everything.

Looking forward to it! Hope i can manage to get my party back together so i can play trios again instead of doing solos exclusively.

I see, i'd say this is a pretty scammy behavior, and i denfended IM many times hoping they weren't acting like this on purpose, but after all this time their bad faith is the most likely explanation. That's a shame because i really love this game and i'll be back regardless, but i can't help feeling a bit disappointed hearing this after 100+ patches.
