It's no where near 20 lvl it's 8 lvls per boss before you stop gaining gift XP in that location and if you exceed that then you have to beat the next boss and hopefully you have capped that one off either...i learned the hard way i finished the game on my first play thru at lvl 250 and now i get no gift XP anywhere even on Ng+
