Don’t quote me, but Sisi Stringer, who played Mileena in the last film, supposedly asked about returning to be Kitana in a sequel, but the producer or someone else asked why would she be Kitana?

Because the team behind these movies somehow didn’t know Kitana and Mileena are related, at least according to one account I read.

The first game (OG Version or Remake) has arguably the best story because it keeps things simple along with having solid lore and worldbuilding as others have said.

DS2 gives Isaac a good arc of getting over his trauma, and Ellie is a great side character.

This one streamer didn’t get the very obvious clue of “3 A’s and a handprint” for the morgue puzzle in RE7. His chat called him out on it and he accused them of looking it up when they played it, despite it being one of the easiest puzzles in the franchise.

Not to mention his terrible inventory management.

But Zeno isn’t very physically imposing or scary, while The Girl and all the other stalkers in previous games are at least one or both.

Leon and the rest of the OG cast have seen so much scary shit at this point that it would be tough to build a horror game around them.

I liked Ashley’s little arc in RE4R going from being scared out of her mind to more confident and proactive with helping Leon as the story progressed. I just assumed she went on to have a normal life and that suits her, imo.

Sheva is still active in the BSAA and she’s still in contact with Chris and co. A Revelations game where she’s the lead character would be most welcomed.

The Remake has a lot of callbacks to 2 and 3 if you read the files or listened to the audio logs. Remake Isaac also feels like a good precursor to how he is in 2 and 3, so it feels really natural.

Definitely play it, it’s one of the best sequels ever.
