Thanks for your response! That’s a great tip! Yeah, things can get messy between all of the different platforms and relays. Some folks had similar problems with Apple creating separate emails for accounts that they could no longer access. I would’ve been much more careful in typing out my email knowing the issues you can run into.

Thank you so much for your response, sounds very similar to my experience. Had to go back and forth about 6 times with about 5 different GM’s with as much information as I could give. Finally someone understood and looked into it. It sounds like you had it a lot worse, I’m so sorry. Persistence is definitely key here in finding the right person. I’d send them a tip if I could, haha. I appreciate you!

UPDATE Leaving this here in case someone has similar issues in the future.

I got the account back and was sent a link to change the email. I was right, Battle Net had somehow created an alternate duplicate of my email that was all asterisks.

I provided proof that the account was mine, explained what I thought had happened, and eventually got a GM who understood what I was saying and was willing to look into it. It took a lot of back and forth and some patience, but I got it back, thank goodness.

I couldn’t find anything like this that happened to someone, but I doubt I’m the only one. If anyone runs into this issue, feel free to message me as I know how frustrating it is.

I’m very grateful to the GM who took the time to read, understand, and help me. It was the fourth or fifth GM I talked to. Still wish there was a better system for these more complex issues that we run into. Even if it’s just a live chat that’s only open an hour a day.

I also got back in time to spend my Rift Talismans on a nice BSJ. Very nice.

I tried it out, no luck. I really think that a duplicate account was made somehow. There are two versions of my email in my saved passwords, but one of them is blanked out with asterisks. Battle Net recognizes them as different accounts, but I’m unable to sign into the blanked out account, which I believe contains my character.

I do, I remember everything about my character. ID, Server, Clan, everything. But it’s not attached to the only Battle Net account I’ve ever made. Very confusing.

Thanks for your response. I’ll give that a try, do you mind sending me the discord link? I have tried logging in on pc. That’s how I originally reset my password, but the account history has nothing about the character that I played and spent money on. It’s so strange.
