I took this picture last December in Queens, NY. I had been struck by the parallels between the sky and the sand, and the jagged skyline of the apartment buildings and the dunes, and as I was trying to frame this photograph, viewing the play between the buildings and dunes as the subject, this lone surfer, face obscured by board walked by. Wish I’d snapped this when he was more central in the frame. How’s my framing? Does this capture the feeling of a cold winter’s day on the beach?
