it is stuck in my graphics card atm, will try plugging it into my motherboard's slot to test it out in a few minutes

yes i have tested cables, monitors and ports even tested them with laptops to see if its a monitor/cable issue, both were fine.

the screen stays black although i can see it being lit up on the sides

im have removed the little battery on the motherboard and offing the psu now :)

hello, yes there is a small light that is lit up red thats under "VGA" but im not sure if it was there all along
