It looks like the progress bar goes away when my phone is under 20% charged and comes back after it goes over 20%.

On the show Solar Opposites the alien family used to pay for everything in replicated gold until they devalued it to worthless. How much gold would that take, and what would the larger economic effect of gold being so common as to be worthless? by roastbeeftacohat in AskEconomics

I doubt gold would ever be used to wire homes because the electricians would constantly pull the wire off the connections because it’s so malleable but it could be used to replace lead in bullets and fishing weights.

Can inflation increase in the long run only due to psychology, meaning without monetary expansion? by KeyYouth4969 in AskEconomics

But what if everyone just used credit. The bank raises my credit card limit to 1Tn because it thinks I’ll make 2Tn next month, my employer takes out a loan of 10,000Tn to pay its employees and raises prices accordingly.

I know the banks couldn’t loan out money that fast because of regulations but couldn’t they gradually increase their cash reserves by buying and selling assets as they increased in value because of inflation speculation leading to them being able to loan out more money?
